Try potassium & magnesium supplement from GNC, it may help.
Hello OP.

Ketosummit.com and FitDay app are good starting points.

Good luck!

Black coffee is good to go. Some researchers recommend 6 cups max per day, but others say no limit.

Black teas, green teas, herbal teas are also allowed on fasting days, to help curb appetite.

I am probably eating a bit too much but loooove my steamed cauliflower with butter!

That was a great link.

Another useful link:

https://ketosummit.com

Signup for their Keto Diet Newsletter, you will get a lot of useful information and recipes.

Also, if you’re fasting, I recommend reading The Complete Guide to Fasting by Jason Fung, if you haven’t done already.
After approximately 2 weeks it gets easier. Hang in there.

I do a 42/8 fast with keto. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and target foods to ensure you’re getting the recommended RDAs.

Also, look into potassium & magnesium supplements, GNC sales a combo (250 mg) that is easy on your stomach. It will help with headaches, neuro/nerve function, and muscle fatigue.

It works!

Good luck!
Another vote for Intermittent Fasting and non-processed foods.

I was a little more aggressive by combining IF and Ketogenic foods, fast results.

Once he sees the body changes, it may motivate him to hit the gym/track?

Search YouTube for Jason Fung if you’d like to research a bit.

Hey... what’s wrong with yoga pants? I love yoga pants!
If you're wearing ten year old clothes, ratty shoes, tattered tightly whitties, and refuse to improve, who better to assist than your wife?

You should attempt to dress to impress your wife, it will come back to you in the end.

I’ve seen many people in public that could use some advice from their spouses... tough love required at times.
Positive reinforcement and reward are good, for when he does assist with some project or routine. Look at things he may be doing around the house already and start there. Play the game... It works in my experiences, both on me and DW.

Just a thought... if he is planning to sale in the next couple of years, the landscaping will help value and curb appeal. If it’s a romantical getaway in the back yard, the prospective buyers will fall in love. Landscaping is a worthwhile investment.

Look at the templates in Excel as a basis, then you can modify or make your own Cash Flow, Finance sheets. Easier to make it meet your specific needs.

You can add instruction, formulas, and graphs, much like the purchased programs, to get the same data or results.

You can make it as simple or complex as you like.

Maybe a little work on the front end, but worth it in the end.
Look into ketogenic foods and IF (intermittent fasting). It can be as simple as a 16/8 hour fasting regimen to a more extended duration. Also, doesn’t throw your metabolic rate if performed properly, better than caloric restricted diets.

It’s quite simple once you get into the routine, no tedious, time consuming diet plans. Also, good for detox and overall health, especially if you’re pre diabetic or have elevated cholesterol levels. There are much more benefits, but too much to provide in a brief forum reply. Google is your friend on this one, a lot of FREE information available.

Mainly you stay away from processed, starchy, sugary, high carb foods.

Also, after reading about the 401k limits, you can click the IRA link on the left side to learn more about rollover of excess distributions. There are rules that must be followed to avoid taxes and penalties.

Handy rollover chart:
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/rollover_chart.pdf

It’s best if you can discuss directly with the retirement account management company which is holding your account, for specific information that will be applicable to your case.

Thanks for adding Roth as a clarification, it was assumed, but you’re correct. Luckily, the company I work with allows after-tax contributions.
You can max out the deferred contributions of $18,500 to your 401k, then continue with non- deferred contributions up to a total of $50-55k, depending upon age.

Then you can roll the surplus over to a Roth IRA in addition to the $5,500 limit for direct contributions.

The good thing about an IRA, is you can use the direct contributions as an emergency fund, pulled out without penalties or tax. It’s better not to do for compounded interest growth, but available.

Keeping in mind, you can also open an IRA in your spouses name, if they don’t have one already, adds an additional $5,500 to retirement investments.

Also, if you haven’t filed taxes for 2017 yet, you can contribute $5,500 for last year and again for this year, immediately.
