Worst Customer Experience Awards

I used to be a fan of Verizon, but as with many companies, their service has decreased. I picked up a wireless router last week, and Verizon sent me an email today that they would cancel my order within five days if I did not come in to pick up the router. Mind you, Verizon sent me an e-receipt after last week's pickup.

What constantly goes hand in hand with poor customer service is broken internal communications systems. A customer having to make numerous calls and repeat the issue each time is frustrating. It's like the companies don't have efficient note tracking systems, or employees simply aren't reading them ahead of inquiring about the customer's issue.

Bissel. I have a pet steam mop that I bought when I got a dog last year. I mainly use to to stream the floor once a week, but have also used it for other things like steam cleaning the oven. I LOVED it until it stopped working a couple months ago. I emailed customer service, have them all the info they asked for, and their response was a link to a video that literally said to make sure it’s plugged in and has water. Thanks Bissel, I couldn’t have done it without you. It still doesn’t work and now I’m just pissed that I wasted money on something that I lived but only worked a few months, and that I wasted time contacting customer service. Totally useless.

I've never known a tow company that is concerned with customer experience, lol. They are in the business of pissing people off, and they do a damn fine job.

There is one specific towing company in Arlington that is known to tow cars parked properly. They have been investigated by states attorneys but they have some politician as their lawyer and they get away with murder.

I HATE this company. HATE them. They got my car a few weeks ago, I definitely had some choice words for them…

Any cable company. Comcast and Cox are the 2 that come to mind, but I've hated them all with a passion and I'm positive the feeling is mutual.

Comcast/Xfinity and Cigna. The hours and hours I've wasted on the phone with each. My firm switched to Cigna from BCBS a couple years ago, and it's been awful.

Wayfair. I ordered one size and they sent me the wrong size. Four times.

By far the worst customer service would be at Walmart.

The employees there are rude + not very attentive to what a customer needs.
I think this is due to the fact that employees there do not make much more than minimum wage (which I have heard.)

Other bad customer service businesses would be:

• DMV (rude clerks & lost checks in the mail, etc.)

• Any cable television company (it’s so stressful to cancel a subscription w/them‼️😡)

• Applebees

Thx for sharing this.

This is good to know.

x1,000,000,000 When we get back from 4th of July events I will come back and post a story that will make your hair curl. It just happened to my best friend's mom. All I can say is wow, BoA is full of a-holes with the trip they pulled on her recently widowed mom.

I had such an a abysmal experience with them. Hours and hours of my time for a fraudulent charge. I had already given up on getting the money back and finally when I told them I was closing my account they magically were able to address it.

Np, I'm taken aback when I hear of anyone who still banks with BoA...

I've banked with them for 20+ years and never had a bad experience.

You are a unicorn.

Anonymous wrote:Mark and Graham. My son purchased a weekender bag (see similar below) for me for Christmas. A few days after Christmas, I called to exchange the bag. Too big to fit under the seat on an airplane and it was off white canvas (ugh). BTW, it was not monogrammed, but because it had been on sale, no returns, exchanges etc. These people suck and I will never buy from again EVER!

You know your son is never going to buy you anything nice ever again, right? Poor kid.

I am this poster. Believe me, my adult DS is unaware of my unhappiness with the company. This item was simply “on sale”, not on clearance. I can buy an item on sale at Target and still able to return with a receipt within - number of days. I was willing to exchange, but they were unwilling to accommodate me, the consumer. Following that experience, I went online looking for sympathy and found many unhappy customers, mainly with quality. I guess I was surprised that within days of Christmas, they were unwilling to work for me. Not the end of the world, but not a place I would ever give a second chance.

1) you weren’t the consumer, your son was

2) it was final sale, which means you cannot return; your distinction between “clearance” and “sale” is neither here nor there

3) your complaints in your OP were for things that were apparent to your son upon purchase, the size and color of the bag; I own a ecommerce brand and I wouldn’t accommodate you on that either

4) you didn’t give them a first chance, your son bought this knowing the size, color, and that the item was FINAL SALE.

There is no such thing as a finally sale and these bags cost like 1 dollar to make as they use sweat labor so stfu

Yes, there is. Privately owned companies make and enforce their own rules and aren’t required to allow you to return an item because you don’t like it. Your entitlement is a joke.

Oh, and “how much the bags cost to make” is irrelevant.

By far, I have experienced the worst customer service at Pep Boys.

Do not know much about their actual store - am referring to the Auto Repair dept.
The so-called “mechanics” are sub par.
I actually doubt any of them are trained mechanics…..they are just grease monkeys that carry wrenches.

Every time I have taken my vehicle there >> they have ALWAYS tried to upsell me on extra services that I do not need.
It seems they do this to everyone they service because I once sat in their waiting area & when customers would check out, the cashiers would always tell them that their vehicles needed this + this done.

They also ruined my car the last time so I will never go back.

Looking at their reviews on my local Yelp page, it is clear that I am in good company as many other people have had similar experiences as I have had.

My crappy mechanic story took place at Firestone on Georgia Ave in Wheaton. I ran over a nail a few years ago and took my car in to have it checked. Firestone said that the tire couldn't be patched, and I needed not only one but two new tires because they found a second nail in another tire. I am not savvy in the nail/tire industry and promptly authorized the two replacements. However, the tech couldn't find the tire unlock device (or whatever he called it). And he proposed just to yank the tires off.

I said no, sir, and promptly picked my car up and took it to the dealership. The dealer not only said that the one tire COULD be patched for $15, but there was no second nail in the other tire. I was almost out of $300 due to lies and incompetence.

Or any commercial bank. They are out to scam people. Credit Unions only.

In Colorado we finally passed a law to address predatory towing, mostly by a garbage company called Wyatt's. Basically they would commit car theft, then charge hardworking people many hundreds to get their cars back.
