If you’re thin what do you eat daily (and approximate calories)

L: lentil soup, piece of sourdough bread, water
D: Marinated tofu, white rice, roasted broccoli, water
Dessert: a piece of chocolate covered strawberry from Trader Joe's

OMG. I would starve to death on that. Are you kidding me? That's all you eat? I'm 5'5", 130 pounds, and I eat at least 2,500-3,500 calories a day.

I mean, you could eat 3000 calories of lentil soup daily and you wouldn’t starve to death.

LOL, I guess you're right that I would get the calories I need but I would be swimming in soup and the lentils ... yuck. It just wouldn't be worth it. That said I stand by the rest of my post, which I see you've deleted. I think there is value in what I said. I do not support OP's rigidity and food control; I think both are unhealthy and that is physically as well as emotionally.

Anonymous wrote:No breakfast- this caused me to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do have a latte every morning though.

Lunch- either leftovers or hummus with crackers, cheese, fruit and dessert (couple pieces of chocolate or half a cookie)

Dinner- love dinner so I eat what I want here, full dessert

I usually have a large drink with dinner as well

I workout at least half hour to 45 minutes 6 days a week

5 ft 6 in, about 120 lbs, good genes

If I eat this way too, the weight seems to melt off. I am more satisfied. In my case, I'll eat two decent meals of around 1000 cals.

This is very helpful. I'm not the OP, but I've been heavy my whole life and it's really helpful to read this.

No kidding. The piece of a chocolate covered strawberry is alarming

Exactly. Yet she's getting the 'you go, girl' from other posters. Very sad.

Overeating and needing bigger deserts daily is what's alarming and sad.

5’2” and 107lbs.

Breakfast: coffee with cream and sugar
Lunch: half turkey and cheese sandwich, chips, cucumber slices and strawberries. Mini can of coke.
Dinner: lasagna, spinach salad, one slice of garlic bread. Jello for dessert.

This was very typical. I never need more that a cup of coffee for breakfast (I add sugar and cream since I’m trying to maintain, not lose weight. Otherwise I like it black). Have soda sometimes but 99% of the day it’s tap water. Pretty much eat a plate of food at lunch and then another at dinner with a dessert most nights. I’m not a snacker. Eat until I’m full but not stuffed. I think I have always naturally eaten sort of “intermittent fasting” style. I’ve always skipped breakfast and we always are done with dinner by 5:45/6pm. So my normal rhythm has a 15-16 hour fasting period.

I’m 38 and thin/athletic.

Not sure how many calories I eat, probably 1800.

B: Ezekiel English muffin with almond butter, 2 cups berries
S: a few pieces of good dark chocolate
L: spouted wrap sandwich filled with veggies and hummus, or a salad with with roasted veggies, or eggs scrambled with whatever vegetables I have leftover- plus an apple always
S: plain greek yogurt with honey, sometimes an Rx bar, or both if I’m extra hungry
D: usually small. A small bowl of soup, or a piece or meat, or some roasted vegetables. I’m usually not very hungry at dinner.

I work out most days. Anything from HIIT classes, to weights, to just walking. I also stay busy all day, clean my own house and don’t sit around much.

Breakfast: 0% fage, 1 tbsp pbfit, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1/2 cup blueberries. iced coffee with half and half

snack: protein bar

lunch: ground turkey with roasted eggplant and pasta sauce

dinner: salad with lots of chicken, tomatoes, onions cucumber, feta, hummus, balsamic

dessert: roobios tea with milk and 2 jojo chocolate squares

Prob about 1500-1700 calories most days. I do walk a ton and strength train 3x a week. I cook almost every single meal at home, except takeout once/week and have an ice cream sundae every Saturday. Saving it for a treat makes it taste better

Great! In that case, here's today's menu:
B: cup of strawberries, oatmeal with flax and chia seeds, water
L: spring veggie rolls, avocado and cucumber rolls, water
D: Lentil bolognese, salad, water

Leftovers from dinner will be tomorrow's lunch.

I am 44 years old and thin. I used to have to really really watch what I eat to maintain my weight…very low carb and low sugar. I got a Peloton bike about a year a half ago, and it’s the hardest I’ve ever been able to work out in my life. My heart rate gets extremely high, and I burn a lot of calories. I find that I’m no longer having to be super careful about what I eat bc of the Peloton. Pretty much every ride I do is high intensity so I’m sure I am burning additional calories throughout the day. I do generally eat pretty healthy, but find I’m now also able to eat bread, pasta, sweets when I want and I am still able to maintain my weight.

Very similar, pretty much same weight since college. Never snacking, eating until aprox 80% full, big breaks between meals, because I'm busy with something else.

Thanks for the idea of putting PBFit into my plain yogurt - it never crossed my mind! I eat quite similar to you. Always end the day with a Lindor Truffle. I'm 5'9, 125lbs.

It’s so so good. Try not mixing it in. Best way to eat it, IMO!

This thread is like a pro-ana goldmine. My daughter nearly died of an ED. This is the kind of toxic shi7 she would have latched on to. Be better.

I would be starving and hangry with this menu.

Today I had/will have:

Breakfast: N/A I never eat breakfast
Lunch: chicken breasts stuffed with sundried tomato pesto and mozzarella cheese; roasted broccoli and potatoes
Dinner: Snack on prosciutto and cheese while cooking. 2 glasses white wine, rice, Pork meatballs with spinach and mushrooms in a coconut cream sauce

So basically you eat Keto, less the 2 glasses of wine. Not knocking it, it sounds pretty doable actually. Also 2.5 hours of walking! I need to get a dog
