Seriously that is a lot of calories for someone who's only 5'5 and not doing much structured exercise. I mean good for you - but don't discount your good genes that enable you to eat as much as you don and not be overweight. |
I’m a size two and eat desserts daily and can assure you it’s not sad. And a single chocolate covered cherry would never do it for me! |
She eats potatoes and rice also. I think the stuffed chicken breasts sounds great. |

5’5, 125 pounds. I have no clue how many calories I eat, but here’s a typical day
B - avocado toast, cereal with milk. Every so often overnight oats with chia seeds. Always 1-2 cups of coffee with half and half. L - salad with bread, or a sandwich with chips and a Coke Zero I’m not always a snacker, but if I did, it would be a banana or Sargento balanced breaks (love those). D - we use a lot of Hello Fresh. I’d say my average dinner is around 650 calories looking at the count of our fave meals online. Always a dessert, a drink like scotch or a beer around 4 nights a week. Barre 3-4 days a week, daily dog walking. |
| I eat whatever I want, but I think the “good genes” people refer to here are the genes that tell me I’m full. I think a lot of it is proper portion size mixed with energetic activity level. |
Same. |
OK, I realized that this was not the most helpful post, so I tracked what I ate today. This is a pretty typical day for me. I hope this helps you OP. 2 pieces of white toast with butter and fruit preserves 1 bowl of leftover homemade chili w/ beef and about 2 Tablespoons of sour cream 2 chocolate truffles and 3 crackers 1 cup of plain black team and 2 cups of black team with milk and sugar PS: health fanatics, no need to lecture me, I am aware that this diet is not ideal. |
This is an obscene amount of calories for a petite woman. I'm 5'7 and the same weight as you, run 30-50 miles per week depending on the training cycle (I do run marathons), and I only crack 2000 calories on long run days (2-3 hours of running). 3500 calories per day for the vast majority of women would lead to weight gain. |
You're a total liar. |
You are insane. I'm the 5'7, 130 lbs. poster with a HEALTHY bmi. I eat everything other than grains and refined sugar. If you think that I'm anorexic because I'm not eating Twinkies or McDonalds, you have major issues. None of the women that posted here are underweight. |
My daughter has this and I'm so envious! I do not and not eating too much is always a struggle. |

Half of croissant and latte with kid on breakfast date.
English muffin with pb and banana and coffee with milk. Pop chips 2 graham crackers Veggie and hummus wrap Apple Tofu, bean and rice burrito and side salad Small cookie Small homemade muffin with pb and half an apple and chocolate chips Woah that’s a lot! I’m nursing though? And I exercise 20-30 min 6 days a week. |
I definitely wouldn't say I eat Keto, I eat everything. The only thing I try to do is privilege protein and vegetables over carbs, I don't care about fat content. So my serving of potatoes or rice or pasta will be smaller than the veg or protein I'm also eating. I've always been thin, but I used to be more "skinny fat." I started strength training and it has really changed my body for the better, even though I gained probably 5-7 lbs, my dress size is smaller and I'm more lean with lower body fat percentage than when I was lighter. Highly recommend! One thing that might make a difference is I have almost no interest in sweets. Salty and fatty all day, but I couldn't care less about dessert. I love to cook and eat. The stuffed chicken breasts were delicious and a hit for all! Very easy weeknight meal I made the night before and ate for lunch the next day. Here is today: Breakfast: N/A Lunch: 2 of those ham and onion Hawaiian rolls with cheese I learned about on DCUM food forum, heated in the toaster oven from frozen Snack: Pita chips with hummus and TJ red pepper dip Dinner: Massaged kale in a garlicky dressing with pecorino romano, heated up with roasted carrots, green onions, mushrooms, carrots, brussels sprouts, and feta/spinach chicken sausage with a fried egg on top with a touch of sriracha. A Belgian farmhouse ale. |

I’m so sorry about your daughter. I hope she is thriving in recovery. |
