We dilute to 50% juice and 50% water. Does that help the decay issue?
Our cat eats all of them. All that's left are the legs.
I had one at Sibley and it was really useful for us as well as for the staff. Reminded us of all the things we wanted/could do (like not forgetting the iPod at home) as we were going to the hospital and made clear to the L&D staff what we wanted. I had a horrible doctor (starts with an R and ends with a R at a practice with the initials R&H) who my husband basically had to stand behind and say "she doesn't want an episiotomy" but it worked out (and I only had 2 stitches vs. God knows how many if he had made the cut). So yeah, I thought it was useful and making one really clarified what we wanted too.
I was practically comatose with fatigue and naseua the first pregnancy and actually posted a similar post to yours the early weeks of my 2nd! I'm 17 weeks now, baby's fine and I'm happy I didn't have any symptoms as my 17mo is running me inot the ground
Agree with PP. Also Crestview and Brookdale are walking distance to everything in FH. Prices are comparable to stuff on Mass Ave but the houses are a little smaller.
Totally not keeping with tradition, but I got my husband a GC to Red Door for a massage. He loved it!
PP was that $240K with or without contributions to 401K? Our accountant (who is not the brightest it turns out and who we are getting rid of) managed to work it so that we were wihtin 3K of the AMT so we were hit this year (AMT tops out at $350K and starts at 150K). We reported $347K. Moron. She didn't give me a straight answer as to whether if we saved 4K less in our 401Ks whether it would have been better for us. As it is, we're paying 6K in taxes back, being hit with some $120 penalty for not withholding enough, and paying an additional $4K in nanny taxes. Sigh.
I'm a big fan of All Free and Clear. It's worked great for us.
I echo other PP: a winter b-day makes the park impossible. Add a small house, messy toddlers, and exhausted parents and that equals shelling out $325 for Gymboree. I don't look down on people for having parties at their house...I think it's sweet but I don't have the space or the energy to clean up the mess afterwards.
We use either our nanny or my neighbor's teenage daughter. With the neighbor's daughter, we started her off with playing with our DS while we did chores and moved her up to babysitting on Sat. nights after DS was asleep. Now that he's older and knows her, we leave him before he goes to sleep and it works out great. I also second the AU Jobcorps. It's a great service and the gals (all gals) are really sweet.
Depends on the man. Really insecure ones would be totally turned-off.

My husband, on the other hand, regularly fantasizes (jokingly) about me going back to a firm on partner track so that he can quit his job (he's an attorney and makes 3x as much as me) and become a history professor.
I second the Lasinoh ones. The J&J ones were bulkier and didn't absorb as much.
What about names that you used to like then met someone with that name that made you change your mind? I used to love the name Jade, but then met a snotty girl in grad school iwth that name and she ruined it for me.

Also have you heard funny names? The captain of our tennis team in HS was named Karma Good.

My favs:

Boys - Atticus, Charles
Girls - Charity, Ananda, Dharma (yes, like the TV show)
I'm in the same boat as you and we've gone to Houston several times to see family (a couple of times with me solo). I go to a really good toy store a few days before the trip (we like Child's Play on CT Ave) and ask them for 3-4 cheapo toys that will keep him occupied for a while. That works for about an hour. I then try to schedule the flight for his nap time. That kills another hour, hour and a half. The last 45 minutes is spent changing diapers and walking up and down the aisle. Good luck! I've never tired the Benedryl but wouldn't blame you if you did.
If you do go with the BJorn, the key is to get the "Sport" one that has extra back support. The regular one, as PPs have said, sucks.
