Some people take a couple of months before their period comes back.
Try Dr. Meyer at Veternary Behavorial Clinic. She has worked wonders with our nervous dog:

Only problem is that she's expensive and far away (Gaithersburg).

Good luck!
Some groceries have gone up in price as well. We buy organic milk and it was over $6/gallon the other day.
What about hauling him into your room and having him play with toys there? When my son is up early and we're too tired to be up with him, we let him climb down from the bed (we co-sleep part of the night), close the bedroom door so he can't run amuck, and let him play with his toys and books at the foot of the bed. It's not ideal b/c he makes a lot of noise, but we can usually snatch another 20 minutes that way. FWIW, he used to wake up b/t 5:30 and 6:30 and now at almost 18 months has suddenly started sleeping until 7 most days. We didn't change a thing in his routine.
94.7 seems to be trying to fill in the space that HFS left.

Has anyone tried the Elmo Potty video? I've heard that it works wonders.
FWIW, my brother, sisters and I had 1 nanny for 15 years. We were never confused as to who was our mom and although my sibs still speak of her fondly (I only was in her care for 2 years), I don't think having a relationship with her affected their relationship with our mom in any way. One year olds are funny...mine was on a very strong "mommy" kick for a few weeks (I work too BTW), but now he's following daddy around like DH's a rock star. HTH OP!
The problem is the smell. The step on garbage cans don't keep it in as well as the Dekor/Genie/etc. If you're BFing, that's not an issue the first few months, but as soon as solid food hits that baby, the diapers are like, gag city. Also, the last thing you'll want to do is individually bag dirty diapers to put in your garbage pail. There's plenty to save on. I'd say this isn't one of them.
Yep, totally different here. Last one, I was tired from the second I got up. This one, not so bad. Last time, I threw up if I was too hungry. This time, I feel nauseous if I get too full. It's pretty interesting how different the pregnancies are!
I had an AMAZING L&D nurse at Sibley. She was funny, sweet, and stayed two hours after her shift ended to see me to delivery. I bought her a gift card for a mani at Red Door.
It affects supply if you totally overdo it, like, training for an ultramarathon, but regular exercise programs are fine.
I was down to once a day (with hardly any milk coming out anyway) after BFing for 15 months, and then went on a business trip for 6 days. Boobs felt full for a day/day and a half but then the feeling went away.
Orange slices, papaya, bananas, cantaloupe, blueberries, mangoes.
Agree with PPs (although drawing and candy probably doesn't work for 6 m.o.). Also, at 6 months, two godsends are paper cups and the skyamall magazines. The magazines can get torn to shreds, which takes a good long time. The cups are loads of fun too. Walking up and down the aisle and timing the flight with naptime are also all key.
I'm also the mom of a bi-racial child and if I had a buck for the number of times people thought that I was my (light brown hair and pink-skinned) son's nanny, I could retire tomorrow! I try not to let that stuff get to me that much but it does bug me when people not of my race make sweeping generalizations about me or "informs" me of something (like OP's experience) about myself or my peeps. I think one of the problems is that DC is horrifically segregated and people just don't mix that much. I grew up in Houston, which is a majority minority city and people tend to be more used to having all different kinds of people around them (I know, shocking for TX, but it's true!)
