8 weeks and no symptoms-Help!

Anonymous
So, I'm pregnant with #2. For #1 I was sick as a dog until 20 weeks, lost weight felt like I had terminal cancer, it was awful.

However, now with #2 I have no symptoms. I'm not terribly tired, no food adversions, I really feel just the same, maybe a little extra tired, but I think that's my 23 month old running me down, not the baby.

Anyone else feel "normal" through the first trimester?

FWIW, I did miscarry is the 1st trimester once and even then I was sick as a dog, but no hearbeat ever showed up and the baby was just a mass of unorganized cells so I just don't know what to think.

I didn't get sick with either of my pregnancies.

Congratulations!

I felt totally normal and symptomless through almost all of my first trimester and a good deal of my second. I experienced a few isolated days of fatigue and some of the ligament stretching but that was it. No nausea, no eversions, no craving, no increase in appetite. I found the lack of symptoms kind of stressful and couldn't wait for my 10 week appt to confirm everything was ok, and of course it was. My second trimester has been relatively symptom free, but less stressful since I began showing and feeling kicks etc. Now I just consider myself lucky...

Don't sweat it. Be happy you are symptom free and just go with it. Sounds like due to your earlier pregnancy experiences, it set you up to think that's how all your pregnancies will be.

I was practically comatose with fatigue and naseua the first pregnancy and actually posted a similar post to yours the early weeks of my 2nd! I'm 17 weeks now, baby's fine and I'm happy I didn't have any symptoms as my 17mo is running me inot the ground

I felt like I had the flu during my first trimester-felt GREAT during my second. It was literally overnight.

OP -- any update?

OP here-thanks for your responses. I definitly have not moved over to being really concerned so there is not need for an emergency trip to the doctor, especially since I MC'd once and I felt VERY pregnant through that ordeal. I think you just never know if bad luck may fall and I don't want to get carried down that route, as its easy to get worked up.

I'm glad to hear there are others who had an uneventful pregnancy, I would be sooo thrilled if I remained feeling normal the whole nine months. The first was such a misery, I would welcome the relief. I guess it made me wonder because you never hear people talk about how marvelous their pregnancies are, its good to hear not everyone feels completely wiped out during the 1st trimester.
