Are there any nursing pads that are more absorbant than others? I feel like I go through so many each day! I am using the Johnson and Johnson, but thought perhaps there were more absorbant ones.
Thanks! |
I like the Lansinoh ones, but have never used J&J so I can't compare. I went through one or two pairs a day until about 12 weeks, when my milk supply settled down a little. |
I second the Lasinoh ones. The J&J ones were bulkier and didn't absorb as much. |
Lansinoh.
When I was nursing my daughter, everyone said Lansinoh was the best and I still felt compelled to try a lot of other pads. In the end, of course, they were right. Save yourself the money and hassle and just get Lansinoh!! |
Lansinoh are good; I got mine on amazon.com. They came as a package of three big boxes, and it was MUCH less expensive that way.
Also, I've heard of people using a pantyliner cut in half. |
Oh, and avoid the Gerber ones. They're no better than putting a couple kleenex in your bra. I soaked through them in no time flat. |
I primarily used the Medela pads, although based on the responses I should've been using Lansinoh! The Medela pads absord a ton but are not very smooth under clothing. I used the J&J pads which are pretty smooth--except for the "popped out" nipple (what's up with that?!)--on nicer occassions when I didn't want the lines of the Medela pads but didn't have to worry about soaking through. Second the pp who said Gerber are terrible though! |
I liked the Avent pads. I used others that came folded in the box and they kept folding up in my bra and sticking to me -- YEOW! But the Avents were comfy and absorbent, even at night when I swear someone would come into my bed and milk me like a cow. |
