I am always curious about the names other mothers like for their babies. While we're trying not to share our favs with our friends because we don't want to hear negatives feedback, it would be fun to throw some out there. What's you favorite name for a boy or a girl? Please share!

My sister is an elementary school teacher who hears all the mean nicknames kids call each other. I loved Caleb, but she told me kids would call him Gayleb. I loved Luke -- which is easily turned into Puke.

Current favorite names:
Amy
Lila
Amelia (or Mia for short)

Micah
Noah
Joshua

I'm curious to know where you got Riley. I have an old classmate who came up with that name 10 years ago and I'd never heard of it and saw that it was among top 100 names a couple years ago.

It's an Irish surname. I'd prefer to spell it Reilly but Riley would probably be easier for a girl. I have a thing for using Irish Surnames for first names. I didn't know it was popular now.

I I think about that too... kids are so mean. But the truth is they can turn any name into something nasty if they really want to. But if you have a name like Gaylord Focker, well that's just asking for it.
