When it gets warm enough to eat in the backyard, I like to have cold cuts for dinner once in a while. Sub rolls, deli turkey/ham, different cheeses, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. Serve with salad, fries or tortilla chips and salsa.

I also cook rice in a rice cooker several times a week (1/2 hour) and serve with ground beef (marinated in soy or Asian marinade) & broccoli.
cool! They have Zumba too!
I make effort not to judge other people's decisions, but in contrast, if we didn't pass judgement on others' behaviors at all, all criminals would run free; because no one would judge their actions as wrong. Innocent people suffer the consequences (in this case, 14 children and millions of taxpayers).

It would also be nice to live in a society where people didn't abuse the system...be it a welfare mom or a wall street banker.

I don't think octomom can be compared to Angelina & Brad, because they have jobs and means to care for their dependents. They adopted/had kids knowing they could do so. Octomom had kids knowing that she could not.

Yes people make mistakes. But when someone doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes and expects the whole state of California to pay for their mistake, or repeated mistakes, it's hard not to formulate an opinion about it.

I think Roda Movements in Takoma Park has Capoeira for kids.
Happy Valentine's Day to you all.

My DH is out of town until tomorrow. So, I'm treating my 3 DCs to the bookstore and treating myself to Starbucks. Then after I clean this messy, messy house and go grocery shopping, we'll have some cake, maybe a tea party with the little one. Then when they are all in bed, I plan to watch chic flix while pampering myself.

At the very least, do something nice for yourselves today!
I looked up an eye color predictor online when I was pregnant. It gave me a 5% chance of blue, 5% chance of green/hazel, 90% brown...or something like that.

DH and I both have brown eyes, both his parents have brown eyes and only my dad has blue eyes. DD came out with green/hazel eyes.
I'm donating dance classes, organizing a fundraiser and fitness clothing drive for the Cavalry Women's Services Center—for homeless, mentally/terminally ill and battered women.
I'd thank you... 1) for the thought and 2) for helping keep me in business. As long as people eat candy, there will always be a need for cardio!
Hate you for bringing candy on V-day? That's not a reason to hate anyone.
Perhaps a black and white outfit?
I like cotton baby doll nighties. Sexy enough for DH, covers up enough to walk around the house.
I've never bought the teacher a V-gift. I was all ready to help DS make Valentines, but I came home and he did them all by himself already! He just cut out hearts from red paper and wrote names on them, and one for the teacher...so there's her gift! Personally, I'd rather get a handmade card then plastic junk.
Just reading the paper makes me thankful and blessed for what I have. I'll probably never own a brand new car or vacation in the South of France, but there are far more people in this world that don't even have food, shelter, or freedom even.

I think a great way to put things in perspective is to help people in need. Not just donating money, but to actually get involved with them. And though I don't know of any self-help books, the I Ching is all about detaching yourself from desire for material possessions.
Washington Lee Highschool in Arlington has a planetarium. I went there for field trips when I was a kid.
I LOVE super spicy food. No acid reflux with mine.
