What do you wear to bed?

Anonymous
I am interested in what other moms/wives wear to bed at night? My husband hates that I want to crawl into bed at night with a long sleeve T-shirt.....or similar.......he wishes I would wear a silky negligee or just underwear or nothing (he usually wears boxers). The things is - I am always cooooold.....I love the snuggly feeling of fabric next to my skin - and ....come on ....it's not like we are having romantic, candlelit evenings in bed - we are watching CNN and looking at our laptops! Anyway - just wondering how the rest of you spend your evenings? My husband thinks I am not lady-like with my choice of sleeping attire!

Cotton t shirt and undies (not the fancy ones). If it is really cold, I wear sleep pants also.

We sleep naked. If I am alone and have no extra body heat next to me I wear a tshirt and undies.

Nothing.

I grew up wearing PJs or long nightgown and underwear. When I lived with a boyfriend right after college I started sleeping in the nude, and it took a little getting used to. Now, I can't stand to wear anything. Every time I roll over at night when I'm wearing something, I wake up with the awareness of the clothing. Can't imagine wearing a long nightgown now, with it twisting all around me.

Get a nice down comforter and give yourself up to the freedom of sleeping in the nude. It's wonderful!

I'm with you - I get way to cold. Even in the summer I like to wear something.

However, I do try to invest in nice PJs (not slinky negligees, but I make an attempt at looking cute, if not sexy). Check out Josie brand. I've only gotten them as gifts from my mom, so I don't know cost but I think they're around $60 a pair at Nordstrom (she gives me nice pjs when I have babies. almost a reason to keep having more..

I've also bought myself some nicer flannely ones with silk trim.

So bottom line. You can be warm and cozy and not wearing a ratty t-shirt and sweats.

sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I hate being cold at night. But I also hate the room to be hot. I'm weird. But the thing I hate the most? That ridiculous e-harmony (or whatever it is) commercial where the girl promises never to wear a flannel nightgown to bed. Whatever. You'll probably be divorced in 6 years when the "chemistry" wears off and the nightgown goes on!

Also, sleeping nude? Don't your downstairs juices get all over the sheets? Gross. (and we all have them) Or do you have a maid service who changes the sheet every night.

Flannel pajamas and socks. Sometimes, flannel pajamas, a concert t-shirt, and socks. I get cold too.

In the summer I wear cotton pajamas and no socks. Or, cotton pajama pants and a concert t-shirt.

It depends on what time of year it is and who's in it with me. If it's the boyfriend, nothin'. If it's the boy, anywhere from flannel jammie bottoms and a tank top to a full-on flannel nightgown. I dont' wear underwear to bed.

No, and not really. Always considered it perfectly normal.

Pajama pants and a tank or t-shirt. My five year old is always getting into bed with me, so I can't be naked.

Winter: Flannel PJ bottoms and t-shirt
Summer: varies. PJ shorts/tshirt, underwear and t-shirt or camisole style nightgown.

Your DH sounds like a bit of a throwback. Ladylike in bed? Come on.

LOL. Too honest and forthright.

Target has cute and inexpensive silky PJs and short slip-like nighties. I think the brand is Gillian something or other. They look cute and are comfortable.

By the way, your husband sounds like a pill. I can't imagine I'd want to get cozy with a guy who criticizes my choice of bedtime attire. Ugh.
