When I am asked where I am from, and I answer, "Arlington" or "DC," the person asking will always re-ask, "No, where are you really from?"
DS loved Thomas when he was younger, and so over time we accumulated extensions to the set, more trains, accessories, etc. Eventually we built a low platform, about 1.5 feet high and just put away all the extra stuff at the end of the day to avoid clutter. The platform also came in handy at Christmas, when we put the tree in the middle of the track; even though he outgrew Thomas a long time ago.
I think VIDA Fitness has a new gym at Metro Center.
If I'm here in the DC area, I always say I'm from Arlington. Although, I was born in DC, so I could technically say I'm from DC, even though I don't live there anymore. But if I'm in LA, no one is going to know what Arlington is. It's easier to say DC.

But I notice south of Fredericksburg, many people I run into think NOVA is nothing like the rest of the state.
Sounds like fun. Maybe play some Hawaiian party music and have a hula contest?
I have tried to be a morning person, but it's torture for me. I have always been a night owl and stay up creating things late at night. I don't know why I don't feel motivated to create during daylight hours...so it's a good thing I don't have to work until noon most days, because I often don't fall asleeep until 1:30-2. Works out perfect over the summer, but I will have to wake up early again once September comes. I'll have to turn in no later than 1am.

2. Great preschool.
3. Healthy (some organic, most natural) food.
4. Quality children's toys/clothes (wood over plastic, Waldorf over batteries, organic cotton over polyester...).

We make up for it by creating our own entertainment, having a tiny apartment and cheap furniture!

What do you create for entertainment?
I always liked the old Benetton ads...one of the few companies who likes to represent every shade.

I read somewhere that Naomi is part Chinese part Jamaican, but I'm not sure if that is true.

I think Angela Bassett is totally hot.
Music.

I agree. DH watched Coraline with my 15yr old while I went to the pool with the little ones.
Slip 'n' Slide, car wash, pool, ice cream shop, Coraline.
I am married and have lesbian friends. I never assume they are trying to be something more than friends. DH also has gay friends and feels the same way. Many of my professors were gay/lesbian in college, as are two of my cousins, my ex-neighbors and my acupuncturist.

I was friends with a bisexual girl in college, but I didn't know she was for the whole 2 years we hung out. She didn't tell me she wanted to get with me until I was getting ready to move away. I was shocked that I had hung out with her for so long and never knew how she felt (she had a boyfriend the whole time). But even after she told me we still remained friends.
I work a full 15 hours out of my 15 hour work week.
My DC has been on a roll even before he was born. He kicked a rib out of place twice when I was pregnant with him. After he was born, he pulled out my hair, knocked his forehead on my nose, scratched my cheek and I remember him waking me up out of a much-needed nap with a surprise belly flop. Oh and two busted laptops.

The forehead to the nose hurt the most. I remember crying over that one!
I used to be Mommy, but it has gradually changed to Mom. I miss the last syllable now...oh they grow too fast.
