Do you spend too much on any particular item?

I have trouble holding back on buying cute clothes for my dd. That is my only problem with money.
Anyone else want to confess?

Normally, no, not really because we typically live within our means. But currently, we are trying to make it (temporarily) on one income and given that, I do spend too much on clothes still - partly for myself. But the biggest standout is our house cleaner. She comes every other week and it's $300/month that we should really be saving right now but she is the best cleaner ever plus is the sweetest women (who treats our son like a king) and I can't bring myself to let her go, if only for a while. But I know I should.

I spend way too much money on Starbucks. There is no reason I need a $4 drink pretty much every day from there. (Just to be clear, I eat healthy and am at a healthy weight I typically get a skim chai tea and factor in to my "snacks"/discretionary calories so it's not bad for health - just for wallet).

I need to join a library and stop buying books at Borders. I read a book about every 2 weeks so I could save a lot of money.

Lunch and Starbucks on work days. Ridiculous and avoidable expense. I think i do it mostly so I can get away from my desk, which brown bag lunches don't let me do.

That and porn.
Kidding.

But it's so good for my health!

Lunch out and Starbucks during the week. Magazines without a subscription. Books for the kids (instead of the library). Color Books.

Dinner out. I've been really lazy about cooking this summer.

Hermes scarves are my weakness...

Starbucks, Barnes and Noble and TO (take out).

Starbucks- a few times a week indulgence. But ridiculous at the prices.

Barnes and Noble- DC has a lot of health problems, so used as presents many bad days.

TO- See above. No desire or time to cook. But $$ really adds up. Wish I had more energy to cook.

Like other PPs, Starbucks lattes, $8-10 sandwiches for lunch (why are they so expensive?), and Barnes & Noble (generally only paper-back, though).

I like ridiculously expensive handbags.

Take out sushi. I love it so much, and refuse make it at home.

Shoes for my daughter. She just started walking, and diapers.com has a cute line called "See Kai Run" that are perfect for her.

Wine. We go through four bottles a week and we like the good stuff.

No housekeeper, although I would love one. At least I find cleaning to be cathartic, while also being a pain in the ass.

I love to buy my son and husband clothes. I just love to shop for my son, and look for very unique items. Cooking isn't in my DNA, and I pick up dinner at least 4 nights a week. I DREAD making dinner, I actually get a stomach ache jus thinking about it, so to avoid throwing up, we get dinner on the way home from park.

We live within our means, but I know I spend way too $$$ on clothes. I just can't help myself.
