I've never actually said, "Santa is real," but when he asks, I say, "some people think so, and some people don't." He replies, "Well, I believe!" I don't think I could tell him any different...he doesn't believe me when I tell him Transformers aren't real.

Although, once when we were shopping and he wouldn't behave, I pointed out the surveillance cameras and said Santa might see you misbehaving.
I like the ballet flats, but I am vertically challenged, so I wear a funky pair of boots or winter pumps/heels with my jeans to give me some height. I wear Nikes with my yoga pants to work. I wear both jeans and yoga pants to the park...it depends on the weather and what's clean.

I can run in both, but running feels better in yoga pants.

I have gotten some dirty looks when I wear yoga pants to the park, which is weird IMO, but I don't care enough to stop wearing them. I just smile and go on about my business.
Not I....I was the daring, rebellious one. I snuck out of my window a lot to go dancing at the clubs and parties, long before I should've been...hehe. I hope my kids don't do the same, but my trouble making days sure were fun and served me well later in life. I don't regret anything.

My sis was the angel. She followed orders to the T. It's no wonder she makes a good soldier now. But me, I was always looking for fun. Still am.

Give it up...Stop!

I used to sing the back up while my aunt sang the lead back in the 80s...haha! The video was a trip.

OP, don't sweat the other friend's comment. It's okay to give someone a compliment.

I love FB. I'm on it right now stealing my instructor friends' choreography : )

no. apparently I'm allergic to 3 different AntiBs. But after 2 days of being drunk on Benadryl, the hives are finally fading. Now it's just my hands and my eyes that are driving me crazy. I really don't want to be zombie all day again! I will never take another AntiB again!

What an interesting job. Where do you train for that?
I like to be open to any form of cultural celebration. I don't claim a religion, but I can still celebrate the birth of Jesus, even if I don't believe in the immaculate conception. I can decorate my tree even if I don't label myself Christian...wasn't tree decorating a pagan practice that predated Christ anyway?

I'm not Chinese and I celebrate the Chinese New Year. I'm not Brazilian, but would definitely celebrate Carnaval! LOVE Sambodromo! I'm not Buddhist or a Taoist, but read the i Ching. I'm not Jewish, but enjoy Jewish holidays off and also like the Hannukah lights...whenever we drive by them it sparks a conversation on world religions and coexistence.
Anonymous wrote:I am here to tell you that hives that last for months ARE INDEED a vaccine AND allergic reaction. My daughter who is now 19 has suffered with allergic hives, once in relation to a vaccine that lasted for months each time.

Turns out she is allergic to Neomycin. Neomycin is used as a preservative in many vaccines. Seriously, look up what they use as preservatives in vaccines. Your child may be allergic to one of the components.

It could also be an adverse reaction to the shot.

After the Hep B vaccine we had to take my DD to a homeopathic Dr. in PA who gave me something to detox her liver. This was after 3 months of all over hives. No I am not a freak or a natural medicine activist, but it's what had to be done to clear her up.

Dr. Jeffrey Marrongelle in PA was the Dr.

What was the homeopathic detox you took? I am covered in hives and Benadryl is not doing anything!

Our tree definitely does not have a theme or even a color scheme. We do white lights; red, green and gold glass balls; and lots of Waterford crystal keepsake ornaments, but when we add in all the kids' ornaments, which are all shapes, sizes and colors, it certainly does not look like a "department store" Christmas tree, but it's very homey!

I don't buy a whole new set every year, only last year for the funky tree because I felt like doing something totally different. I have sets of all the traditional colors accumulated from birth until now....hand me downs, gifts, ornaments from the Philippines, ornaments we've made. I just don't use all of it and stick to 2 or 3 colors.

I don't even know where all the white roses came from this year...I think one of my husband's clients moved out and gave us a box of fake flowers. So I made use of them. All I had to buy is the ribbon.
Anonymous wrote:Wow, that's really cool! Do you buy a whole bunch of new ornaments each year to do that? If so, do you now have a gazillion now piled up in the basement?

Mine's just a regular tree with jewel toned ornaments and garlands. I'd like to do a gold and white themed tree some day.

My mother has several trees around the house. My favorite of hers has lots of white sea shell ornaments all over.

Ooh I like the sea shell idea. I'll do that one day. I've had all the regular colors for years...I just mix and match. I usually just buy new ribbon. But I did have to go all out for the funky tree...I didn't have any pink/purple decor until last year. That was the funniest tree ever. It had a George Clinton/Cat Williams vibe to it.

I love decorating the tree...it's like my canvas. We do a different color scheme each year. Last year, we went funky with purple, pink and gold. Before that it was an American theme tree.

This year it is white and silver with tons of glass ornaments and tear drop prisms refracting the white lights. White roses in all the nooks, silver beads and puffy, white/silver iridescent bows. It looks like a wedding Christmas tree. All it needs is some fake snow and a train under it.

What does yours look like?
