Yes, it's Planned Parenthood's fault that a 10 year old rape victim had to travel out of state to terminate the pregnancy. Good logic. |
Still the largest provider of women’s healthcare in the country? |
You are correct that most rapists don’t go to prison. Greg Abbott claimed that ending rape in Texas was his number one priority. He has subsequently done nothing to end rape in Texas. Why do you think that is? |
| It must have been Chinese misinformation. |
I’m personally no fan of his. Just look at all the child rape trade coming across the border. |
That’s not the question— why do you think Greg Abbott has taken no steps to end rape in Texas after claiming it was his #1 priority? And for the children you believe are being raped in Texas, so you believe they should have to give birth to their rapists children? |
233 pregnancies age 10-14 in one year in Ohio alone The people who assumed this case was fake stick their heads in the sand to pretend such cases would never happen. They happen, even if rare, even if parents do everything right and some ahole commits a first offence rape. Yes it could be anyone and anywhere you might not expect. Look at the Catholic church. |
This isn't the point. US citizens commit rape of children. Rape will happen. Sometimes it's a first offense rape and in a location with a person that someone might not expect or anticipate, even with parents doing everything right. The point is that no matter what, cases like this WILL happen and what we do about it. Sure, do everything to prevent it, but what about WHEN it happens which, statistically, it will? |
| I remember when abortion activists ranted that abortion would/should(?) be RARE. Anyone here remember that? |
I was a few months shy of my 10th birthday when I got my period (so, technically, 9 y.o.). I looked at least 3 years older than my age and was already starting to attract unwanted attention from adult men. This is one of those "there but for the grace of God...." instances for me. I am outraged that a child should be denied an abortion anywhere in this country. That's some backward extremist bull**** that puts us in the same camp as countries such as those below which have completely outlawed abortion with no exceptions: Countries in which abortion is completely illegal/prohibited: Andorra Haiti Malta Republic of the Congo Aruba Honduras Mauritania San Marino Curaçao (territory) Iraq Nicaragua Senegal Dominican Republic Jamaica Palau Sierra Leone Laos Palestine Suriname Tonga El Salvador Madagascar Philippines |
| How many months pregnant was the ten year old when the abortion occurred? |
This is your defense for wanting a ten year old to have her rapists baby? |
Rare but legal is the point. What's yours? You in favor of forcing raped children to birth children? |
There’s no one who doesn’t want abortions for underage girls to be rare. They should still be allowed, and now they aren’t in more than half the country. Focus. Also, abortions have been precipitously declining since the 1970s. They were already becoming rare. |
She was six weeks and three days when she first saw the doctor in Ohio who told her that she couldn’t get an abortion there because Roe had been overturned earlier that week. How soon after that she could get to Indiana for the procedure I’m not sure. |
