Also, I’m less than a pound away from my first goal.

Thanks for the calculator and the advice. I must've done something wrong on it, it says I should aim for 14 bmi? I am 5'4", that didn't make sense. The rest of your advice was very useful. I lost 2lbs since then. I know, could be water. I actually bought pork rinds and had them late at night after not eating since lunch, road trip, and in the morning I was down a pound! Thanks a bunch.

Hi there - new poster (Meg). I've lost 33 lbs so far. I've had good weeks and bad weeks. What really works for me is:

- Water, water, water
- Tracking everything that goes in my mouth (carb manager app)
- 4 cups of vegetables daily
- No fruit
- Plenty of vitamins
- No cheating

I'm nowhere near 20net/day (more like 30-33), but this has worked for me.

When I have stalled, it is because I've cheated, allowed sugar or carbs to creep in, etc. Feeling motivated to get into one-derland.

Totally. I wear a heart monitor while working out and my working so much harder, even though my workout hasn’t changed.

I have heard that some people will eat carbs pre-workout, but I’m going to guess that could be during the maintenance stage of keto?

Meg here. I find working out on keto is much easier because I have more energy, but what is does if I am not careful is stalls weight loss because I'm not eating enough. I am no expert, but if your energy levels are too low, maybe add some electrolytes, BCAAs, or food right before your workout.

New poster here - I started yesterday in my second Keto attempt.

In early 2018 I did keto for about 2 months, lost about 15 lb. I felt great, but had a bad cheat day and never stopped eating. Gained another 30 lbs because all I did was eat!

I now have, yes, 80lbs to lose and be at a healthy weight. My goal is to lose the first 50 by christmas. I plan to start lifting weights too.

I feel great on day two. This time, I plan to stick with it. I am so fat and unhealthy now. My feet and knees hurt. I have no energy. I have no clothes and I look morbidly obese. No more.

Call me Alex.

Meg, how long has it taken you to lose 30lb?

You can do this Alex! I started a week earlier than this thread - end of April. I end up eating around 1100 calories/day on my rest days, and more like 1500-1600 on my workout days (Peleton, 7-10 mile hikes, etc). I've had a number of weeks where I did not lose anything or 0.5. It's like Goldilocks, I had to get it not too hot (too much food), not too cold (too little), but just right.

I don't meal plan, but it may help for you.

Alex here. I have to do some meal planning. I used the ruled me calculator and I am sticking to it. 1100 is too low for me, I am around 1400. I have a lot to lose so that will go down as my weight goes down.

I am a new poster, long time Keto dieter. To break a stall google egg fast. I do it for 3 days on a row periodically and it breaks even the longest stall.

That's great! Meg here, now down 36. Really trying to lose another 8-10 by August 19th. My focus this week is drinking more water (I normally do about 64 ounces/day) and keeping a lid on the "extras" (e.g., tbsp of Sir Kensington's here, tbsp of sugar free bbq sauce there, add up).

Claire here! Only lost ~3 pounds in the last couple weeks, but I feel pretty good. I’m at my first goal weight and am 4 pounds from my second goal. Wheeeee!!!
