My children go to school with many immigrant children, probably some undocumented, and you have no idea what you're talking about. Your loose words can beget violence.

How about this. Your loose regard for immigration laws begets rape.

If you're allowed to make big generalized statements, then so am I.

Because, guess what? Your loose regard for immigration laws and welcoming attitude towards ILLEGAL immigrants (from all over, not just Central America - for some reason, YOU are choosing to focus on Central amwricans), led to a 14 year old girl being raped in a high school bathroom. Shame on you.

You can advocate to change the laws that make immigraion difficult, but just flaunting the laws does not appear to be working.

This is where we differ. I don't think that the lax enforcement of immigration laws "led" to this rape any more than I think Brock Turner's swimming career "led" to him raping a girl. They are illegal immigrants and they are accused of rape but these things are not equal.

You're absolutely right that we differ in that thought. I believe that if our laws were enforced, these two particular men would not have had the opportunity to rape a 14 year old girl at school.

And if that is how you feel, why do we even have immigration laws at all?

You are saying they raped someone BECAUSE they are illegal immigrants, are you not? That is where we differ. I don't think one's legal status has anything to do with tendency toward crime.

DP here. They raped because they are rapists. They're also illegally in this country and because they were able to come here, they were able to commit the crime against the 14 yr old girl. Get it?

Many things would be true: our population would be aging, it would be more expensive to hire nannies and buy vegetables, many of our schools would be whiter, and many more teenagers would be dead in El Salvador. We have absolutely no data to support whether there would be more or less rape. Dwelling on this single anecdote has nothing to do with reality.

No, that's crap. People would still immigrate here LEGSLLY.

Also, illegal immigrants depress wages. They work for less money, which is why business love illegal immigration. Business and families would be required to pay wages that are more fair than the BS that goes on now. As an aside, this is why (IMO) illegal immigration persists and will never be controlled.

Too many business interests involved in maintaining the stays who.

Also, quit your racist comments. Not all IlLEGAL immigrants are nannies and farm workers. And getting rid of ILLEGAL immigrants does not mean less diversity and Moore 'whiteness'. That's just stupid. People will still come here legally.

I get it. But saying "we need better enforcement" is saying that we need to keep out all the other rapists so this doesn't happen again, and that's where I disagree.

No way. That is not what I said. Nowhere do I say that they raped this girl because they are illegal immigrants.

They raped this girl because they are a$$holes. It just happens that if we followed the immigration laws that are in place, this would never have happened. This 14 year old girl should have been safe at school. She was not because this county chooses to embrace ILLEGAL immigrants.

We need better enforcement because what is going on now is not working. Not working for anyone. Not working for the immigrants who do come here legally. Not working for Americans. Not working for the school system.

We need better enforcement so that people who want to come here illegally know that it is not easy. Right now, it's well known that we make it easy.

Lots of poor people in this country also make choices just to get by that are against the law, and we prosecute accordingly.

So 'the little brown people' are only good for crop picking and nannying your children? Whose the racist??

How about this. We dont give welfare to able bodied fatasses and they can pick your vegetables??

Do you apply this argument to US citizens? They get a pass because they are por? What about the poor AA kid in Baltimore who makes some poor choices and ends up in trouble? Or the poor white kid from urban WVA who gets involved in drugs because his single mom works two jobs and his dad is in jail??

US citizens commit crimes and get punished.
