Husband compliments classically “good looking families” in public. How to make him stop?

It was before he became President. His opening line was “what a great looking family,” which seems like a typical ice breaker when you don’t know a family but want to be friendly. He didn’t pay for our meal, nor would I expect him to, but he was very gracious and appropriate. It is a fantastic memory.

Ahhhh a celebration of the patriarchy and the cream of the rich white people rising to the top in a rigged capitalistic society. The result of which is trashing the world- how beautiful.

successful white people aren't allowed to be friendly to each other? or would you prefer they didn't exist at all? take a deep breath and think about how silly and racist you sound.

He owned the place and was acting as quasi host. Totally different from approaching some random family on the street.

As someone who just had to run to Walmart to get a new filter for the central AC, and having seen the dyed-hair / pierced / tattooed crowd there, I’m finding it hard to sympathize with you.

Wow. Just so you know-those people you describe are not a monolith group. More than a few people like that go to my church, where they serve in varying capacities. And may go to Walmart after church.

OP's dh is a ding dong and so is this pp.

Presumably it’s someone ugly and/or alone. Because this isn’t something to get worked up over.
