Andrea at Ipsa in Georgetown/Glover Park. She's expensive ($85 for a haircut), and is good enough to only work from 8-5 on weekdays, but cuts all textures of hair and is amazing. I have stick straight, kinda flat, Asian hair and she manages to give it a little body. They have a parking lot onsite so that makes the trip a little easier.
I always go to Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table and buy counter spray and dish soap. At WS, they will put them in a plastic bag and tie it up with ribbon for you. They smell so yummy and most people wouldn't spend $10 for dish soap on themselves when there's the .99 Dawn option at Safeway!
You know, you can screw in almost any nipple with the Nuby bottles. We started out using playtex bottles until we found out they have BPA in them. We just put the nipples on the Nuby bottles and they work out fine.
At what age did your kids begin to like seeing fireworks shows? We were thinking of taking our almost 2y.o. but don't want a disaster on our hands. TIA!
If you don't see something at TJ's anymore, you can ask for it and they will bring it back. We LOVE the Tarte d'Alsace (basically pizza with ham, gruyere and onions as a PP mentioned) and it wasn't there for a couple of weeks. I asked about it and it's been back ever since.
I went to my 10th and it was fun to catch up with friends who I liked but weren't friendly enough to keep in touch with. I actually reconnected with one friend who WAS a good friend but we lost touch. I had a good time in college and it was fun to go see everyone.
Don't remember all the particulars but papaya and canteloupe have almost the same amount of betacarotene as carrots. Blueberries are very good for you too. As are bananas and oranges. Can't remember what else.
We use the stuff from HTO near Tenleytown (it's citronella based and smells really strong) and just reapply every hour (and then take a bath at night).
