Can you recommend your hairdresser (or one you know) who you think really works well with asian hair? Prefer DC or Bethesda/Chevy Chase area.
Thanks! |
I have long, thick and coarse Asian hair. Dawn at PR@Partners in Chevy Chase does a great job layering/thinning out my hair. It's easy to go 8-12 weeks between haircuts. She charges $50/haircut. |
Hugo's in Wheaton. A few years age a woman worked there Toni, she is asian and really good. But almost anyone there, who has been there awhile, can do it. She was Hugo's wife and not to gossip, but he may or may not still be married to her??
Solon Prive, was stared by people who originally worked at Hugo's (when they were in Bethesda and their original Wheaton location) They were really good too. Honestly, I have not been to either for years, but I still hear good things about both. |
Andrea at Ipsa in Georgetown/Glover Park. She's expensive ($85 for a haircut), and is good enough to only work from 8-5 on weekdays, but cuts all textures of hair and is amazing. I have stick straight, kinda flat, Asian hair and she manages to give it a little body. They have a parking lot onsite so that makes the trip a little easier. |
