Florence was my base for a couple weeks during my Italian trip. Gotta say, it was pretty sweet. Cheaper than Rome, which was nice on the wallet. And man, Florence is so compact - you can walk everywhere! Though I'll admit, Rome's got the edge on public transport.

Since I was there for a while, I snagged an apartment. Saved some cash that way. I used some of that money I saved to hire a local guide from https://gowithguide.com/Italy/Florence/guides for my first day.
That would really bother me. It's not just about personal hygiene, but also about respect for the space you both share.
If I asked my hubby the same question, he'd say:

1. Watching the pets play (and playing along with them)
2. Our kiddos, especially when they're not bickering
3. Sleeping during raily days
4. Our weekend movie dates
5. Our annual beach trip

But here's the thing, OP - sometimes guys have a hard time putting this stuff into words. It doesn't mean they're not happy, just that they might not think about it the same way we do.
Have you ever thought about being completely honest with her? It might be scary, but opening up could actually bring you closer. She might even have insecurities of her own that you'd never guess. True friendship isn't about being perfect. It's about accepting each other, flaws and all. Maybe next time, try showing up in your comfy clothes, without makeup and see what happens. You might be surprised!

My hubby actually brought up his first love once. Surprised me, to be honest. He's usually pretty tight-lipped about that kinda stuff. It wasn't a big deal or anything - just a passing thought he shared.
I think of myself as a nerd, and because of this, I have much love for Akihabara with all its electronics, anime, and otaku culture. I may have dressed as an Anime character in one of my visits, but I can’t remember! Make sure you also go see Harajuku, a stylish area famous for its unique street fashion. Yet, walking beside the Meguro River when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom is my most memorable experience.
I visited both places, but if I must pick one, Portugal is my preference over Spain. Why? It's safer in relation to Spain as seen here: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-peaceful-countries; when it comes to costs like accommodation, eating and moving around, Portugal tends to be slightly cheaper than Spain does. Also, the country of Portugal is smaller compared with how big Spain is. If you can spend 9 days, that's perfect for Portugal. A normal plan should take at least seven days, so you have enough time to really experience the local ways of life and traditions. You can also spend around five or six days in Portugal if you plan to visit mainly the big cities and then use the extra days for traveling in Spain. If your trip is 12 or more days, I would recommend choosing Spain. Finally, I cannot speak Spanish or Portuguese. According to the EF English Proficiency Index https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EF_English_Proficiency_Index Portugal ranks eighth worldwide in English skills, whereas Spain is positioned at thirty-fifth.

I traveled around Lisbon by myself, which wasn't too hard because you can get to many places on foot. However, when I went to Porto, I decided it was best to use a guide from the area https://gowithguide.com/portugal/porto/guides

I'm using a JanSport Driver 8 convertible bag. I bought this in one of my trips in Asia. I can carry it as a backpack when contents are light, but roll it when it is heavy.

I prefer keeping my mask on for public transit and crowded places. I make that choice regardless of what others do.
