Restocked on food, coffee, wine, candles and propane. Shoveled like crazy in the last 3 hours. We're going to try to clear the roof tomorrow. Thankfully the county came today and cleared a tree that was about to hit a power line.
My only complaint is that I had to cancel my DD's b'day party two weekends in a row. I'm thinking of moving her birthday to April.
Looks like it's open now: http://www.trafficland.com/city/WAS/camera/30/index.html

It will probably be a nightmare tomorrow.
There are solar powered generators.

I am American and I don't treat my international friends differently than my American friends. I'm hanging out with my friend from Nepal right now and I could care less that he has an accent. He's just as cool as my American friend adopted from Korea, and my African American friend that I went to college with, my French neighbor, my co-worker from Russia and all my cousins from the Philippines. It sure feels like a melting pot in my house.

Are you a child of immigrants?

Mom is foreign born, Dad is American born.
lol. I just posted on FB that snow storms are bad for your figure. I've been munching and lounging for 3 days and have probably gained 5 pounds.

schools, definitely.

I am wondering about federal buildings, though.
if you haven't already, close the bedroom doors to contain the heat in the living room. Close the curtains for an extra barrier between the cold. And if it really gets cold, pitch a tent in the living room.
I massage it into the soles of the feet, with my thumbs. Stimulates all the acu points there.
I do this too. You can also use Eucalyptus oil. And then I put warm sock straight out of the dryer.
ooh I like the James Brown. Especially DJ Ali remix from Robots. I think maybe we have a winner. I think. I'll test it in class tonight.
What do you think of Higher Ground, Red Hot Chili Peppers version?
ooh...this is so tough.

I was debating Crazy because I love that beat. But the melody is kind of mellow. I need more happy.

Calle Ocho, I love that one, but not clean enough.

I Wish, I LLLLOVE, is already on my playlist after the warm up.

KLF, Rhythm Dancer are up there with I like to Move it Move it, but are overplayed by every instructor out there.

My students seem to be pushing me toward Aint No Other Man by CHristina A. What do you think? I like the beat and the melody, and her kick ass voice, but is it too teenager-ish?

I never heard American Boy or the U2 song, so I will check those out. Oh and I've got Supernatural's Maria Maria for cooldown. Great album.

ahhh! 18 hours to decide!
I have THE class of my life coming up and need a super-slammin' song for my opening warm up. I have been searching all week and nothing seems right. I've gone through millions of suggestions and still haven't found the ONE. It cannot be Latin, but can be international. It can be American, 70s, 80s, 90s or now. I'm looking for something a bit urban, but nothing techno or over-computerized, nothing too tini-bopperish. Something powerful, catchy, clean and appealing to ages 30, 40, 50...oh and fast. I have to find it by Friday! Suggestions welcome.
