why are so many people complaining about the snow? I don't get it!

spend time with your family
stay under the blankets all day.
make snow angels
have a snowball fight
bake
go sledding
go on 'nightwalks' where only walking on the snow mounds is allowed

I love every minute of it.

I love the snow too...

But i AM whining about shoveling it! If we were able to just hole up at home for a week I'd love it even more...but those evil people keep clearing off the roads so that we have to go to work and return to life as usual, thus, we all have to be ready to return to life as usual...but that requires misery I don't enjoy! plus i means for ice, still yucky roads...

The snow itself isn't the problem. Being stuck in the house isn't the problem.

It's the cleaup and returning to usual that sucks.

Isn't it peaceful? Some people must be REALLY hard to live with, they can barely stay in the house with themselves!

Enjoy!

Car wrecks
No power
No heat
Wet clothes
Wet floors
Crazy pets
Crazy kids

I hate every minute of it.

If only I could do all those things. Unfortunately my 2 year old won't stay outdoors for more than 5 minutes without crying and screaming and my 4 year old won't give me 2 minutes to myself. If my kids were older (or perhaps tougher and more independent!) I would definitely be feeling like you.

I totally agree (and I have never used this expression here before.)

You sound like you live in an eternal ski resort...

No power or heat or water for 2 days, so I hate it.
But it is beautiful to look at.

OP - Did you loose power for 2 days?

I have a 4 month old who sounds like he has pneumonia. Being stuck in a house without heat is extremely stressful. Add to that 2 additional screaming children who prefer to fight with each other rather than joyously play in the snow...

OP, did you have to shovel at all?

I've been shovelling 2 days. When I haven't been shoveling, I've been making one of the 3 meals or bundling and unbundling my kids. That is why people are complaining. And not one min. to myself, and now my back hurts. Plus the ones without power are much worse off.

Ditto!! If it weren't for the above reasons, I would enjoy the snow more.

21:37. And I would like to add, what is the DEAL with it snowing on Fridays or Saturdays???? I might be wrong, but I think this is the 4th weekend it started snowing on a Fri. or Sat.!!!!!!!!!!

Stop hijacking my weekends, SNOWPOCALYPSE!

PP here. Okay, without power, the whole scenario changes. But with power, it's kind of peaceful.

Detoxing the kids from no school is the hard part!
