And parents are furious!

Loudoun kids are going and parents are furious. Nobody wins today.

And parents are relieved. No matter what the decision is, one faction will be furious. Just accept that’s what will happen here.

Then they are wasting their energy on being furious.

I heard the announcement will be made at 4:30.

No way fcps is open tomorrow, arlington and loudon are delayed because they are more manageable imo

Seriously. One more day (because they did say in the announcement that they anticipate opening on Tues!) isn’t going to change anything.

Nothing will change between Monday and Tuesday.
Open tomorrow with a two hour delay and hope for the best.

I’m not sure “forge ahead and hope for the best” is a viable strategy for a school district. They need to at least *attempt* to make accommodations or find alternate solutions for the walkers and the bus riders.

This region really needs to grapple with the reality we get snow. Every year it cannot be “once in a generation” storm.

Being this crippled by what happened last weekend…there needs to be some after action work done.

Prince William cancelled and Loudoun did a two hour delay. No way we are on time tomorrow. The neighborhoods are still so bad. I hope they cancel

All of this craziness has supported my belief that the school year should run spring-fall and have an 8-week winter break. That way we wouldn’t need to worry about the winter holidays, snow, etc. People can travel to warmer places in the winter or stay curled up inside.

I think they both reopened last Friday... so probably delays or open

Arlington was closed for a teacher workday on Friday, so they weren't open at all last week.
