What do we think will happen on Monday?

Already on it

I would love it if someone could come up with a template and list the email addresses to send it to.

Why are you blaming teachers?

Yep that's exactly what I'm doing. Why should you all get paid and not work like the rest of us? Go in tomorrow and then we can get rid of a few of the Wednesday half days or other upcoming teacher "workdays".

Buddy, I don’t think you want teachers billing for actual time spent working, but if you want to switch to that model, I’m game.

+1

Oh give me a break. Other than an essay or two per quarter, everything is graded by machine.

So explain to me why if the school is open that teachers shouldn't be expected to go in?

You need to go find childcare instead of trying to claw back teacher pay. You’ve gone over the edge and it’s time to put your phone down.

No, I do not need childcare. I have middle and high school kids and I will be working tomorrow just like everyone else (well besides FCPS teachers). This is not about attacking teachers or their pay. It is about the fact that most working adults are expected to go in or at least work, regardless of disruptions, without regularly scheduled half days built in. Pointing that out is not “going over the edge,” it is acknowledging how work functions for the rest of us.

You are a mean-hearted person. Do better.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but I do think teachers should report to work tomorrow. They can see firsthand what problem areas are at and around their schools, and they can help brainstorm suggestions to get everyone back in the buildings the next day. They are educators and I believe they could have valuable input.
