Again? Sure Landon has a great team. But a fair point about the selection process. Seems like a Little Miss Sunshine movie, substitute in teen boys for the little girls. That's lacrosse.

Enjoy living vicariously through that. I'm sure it helps.

Both men's and women's Michigan coaches were let go today. What is your next step all of you sophomore and freshmen commits who are now prevented from communicating with staffs until 9/1 of junior year? And club coaches can no longer do it for you either.

What age do most of these high school lacrosse players start playing lacrosse? Anyone ever start around 6th or 7th grade and still do really well, obviously assuming very athletic and has played other sports well.

Yes that is very reasonable to becoame a strong HS player even if you pick up a stick in 6th or 7th grade. Better the athlete the later you can start. But for boys defense is probably more likely position since stick skills don't need to be as strong.

SSSAS just beat Prep by 1. Saints were up by as much as 4. Very exciting game.

No way. Very unlikely. It takes time to develop the stick skills and game IQ. Boys have better chance if they pick it up late as opposed to girls (for girls stick skills much more important and difficulty higher) but regardless only a truly exceptional athlete can pick up lax this late and make any impact. Being a basketball player def helps.

He can learn the stick skills and the game in one season. Have your DS watch a lot of college lacrosse, go to local high school games for a season and wall ball everyday and if he really is a strong athlete in every other way, he will fly past these kids. Having played club for 6 or 7 years makes no difference. I say this as a parent whose kid has been doing so since he was 7, and your son, after one season, may just blow past him. He just doesn't have the speed and endurance, despite unmatcheable stick skills. It's just not that hard a game to learn.

Bullis and Landon to end the season will be epic! Trippi and Shocky's last HS game--probably the 2 best players in the DMV this year.
