There was a reason that many school board members didn't endorse Rachna for BOS. She's not a nice person. Alexa is the total opposite, so of course Rachna's croonies wouldn't approve. I do know Alexa personally. And when she was first thinking about running (in October), she was at the Annandale/Justice boundary meeting just observing. She immediately saw those of us in Braddock and came over to get our opinion. You know who else was at that meeting: Dr. Anderson. You know who wasn't because we weren't Lake Braddock: Rachna. I talked to Alexa about her long term goals (again, I know her in a different place/life), and she really just wants to do school board. She is super involved in school (and was also a PTA president) and does ask hard questions. She really needs voter turnout in primaries to win. |
Elizabeth Schultz and Wilson (Sully--prior to Pekarsky and after Smith, I think.) When we first lived here you hardly knew who was GOP and who was Democrat. It has become far more partisan. |
|
Both of the Democrats support the boundary review. It sounds from this like they have no idea what's been happening and all of the problems it's been causing. Not a great look. Also not great for the future if they're going to keep doing 5 year reviews or even more reviews in between those 5-year intervals, which is what is hinted at in the materials Reid released yesterday.

| Alexa was our PTA president when my oldest started elementary (during the pandemic) so I associate her with my anger at schools being closed. Her grammar in emails to the parent group was not the best. That’s all I remember. |
Well, there you have it Braddock. These clowns are going to be more of the same wrt boundaries. No one should vote for anyone who supports these frequent boundary changes. |
Kretzel is endorsed by all of the moderate, pragmatic liberals, and mainstream democrats. The guy is endorsed by the far left partisans. Both of them are liberal democrats. It is simply a vote between less partisan (her) and partisan far left (him) |
She is endorsed by Moon, Ricardy Anderson, McElveen, Meren, and Dunne. Are they not other Democrats? Or do you think only the vapid bumblers like Karl Frisch and Sandy Anderson are “real” Democrats? |
I think PP represents the actual Braddock District voters (unfortunately - certainly represents my neighbors). |
Yeah but we all know that, while she'd probably do an OK job, Sandra isn't going to win. Alexa has a tiny, tiny chance. And still better than Dannan. |
| In other news the republicans are putting up perennial loser Saundra Davis who will get whip lash reinventing her entire political personality and go back to being an “independent”. |
Anyone who supports continual boundary changes should show themselves to the door. |
Point me to the last time Republicans have found a serious candidate for school board in Braddock. I'll wait. - right leaning Braddock voter |
It didn't hit LBSS and surrounding ES's this time but it's unlikely that will remain the case. |
Take some tume to speak to Ssundra. She is actually a great candidate, slightly left of center, and very well informed on school issues. If you are actually "right leaning" then Saundra is slightly to the left of you. The person who ran against Sandy Anderson for the Springfield district would have been an amazing school board rep. She was far more qualified than Sandy and more moderate on most issues. |
Except all she wanted to do was talk about banning books, trans kids in bathrooms and other Moms for Liberty crap. Which shows she's not that smart because running on those issues in Northern Virginia is not a winning strategy. |
