Exactly. And she’ll get more from those with FCDC connections. The other guy doesn’t have a chance. |
You are cookoo! And I am SOOO not MAGA. You should get YOUR facts straight. "In July 2023, Frisch was elected Vice Chair of the School Board by his colleagues, ascending to the position of Chair in January 2024. He was re-elected to a full term as Chair, serving in that capacity until July 2025." -- FCPS website. In addition, Frisch may have RECENTLY found a way to get a bachelor's degree (from UVA --- wink, wink!) But, for most of the time he was involved in FCPS, he did NOT have a bachelor's degree. I guess he realized that it was a problem and figured out a way to complete it. I don't know why you are so against Alexa (or whatever). I don't know her other than what her resume says. That doesen't make me MAGA. You are cray-cray. |
|
Frisch finally completed a degree (?) or a certificate (not sure which b/c he was in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies) -- in 2024.
He hasn't really publicized his "accomplishment" so it's hard to say what he actually received. And he probably didn't want to draw attention to the fact that he didn't have a college degree before that. |
| The average Fairfax voter doesn’t have informed views on FCPS. They may have affiliations. |
| So annoyed she won! It leaves her with zero consequences surrounding her awful boundary policy AND leaves Braddock without a vote for the boundary review policy. |
| None of the candidates were good. I voted D so I could get her off the school board |
So, you do understand that she will have far more influence on the BOS? |
| Rachna has endorsed Tom Dannan. |
Dannon also appears to be far more accomplished and connected to public schools (i.e. has kids in the system, has worked as a substitute teacher, was PTA president -- which is pretty unusual at the elementary level) vs. Frisch. I know Dannon isn't up against Frisch (unfortunately b/c Frisch is representing my district )... but both Dannon and Alexa would be good.
|
I don't know - our elementary has had some PTA presidents I would want on the school board and some who were completely absent from the job and I think would be terrible in elected office. Subs were generally good quality though I guess. |
| From what I understand - Tom is a sock puppet for Rachna and Sandy. Including supporting all of the horrible Boundary Review processes and decisions. I know Sandy "doesn't care" about reelection - but I will not be supporting anyone who has been aligned with her. I hope Alexa can gain some steam. |
Seals my vote for Tom then. Rachna has been very effective. |
she will be the junior person on BOS and be up for re-election in 2027. I couldn't vote for the R candidate based on his principles |
The only thing that Rachna did right was planning her escape from the School Board before she could be held accountable. Otherwise her tenure on the SB consisted of her pushing through revisions to the boundary policy that did not align with the preferences of parents and were then largely ignored, and using her small platform as an opportunity to promote her kid’s musical career. Anyone she endorses automatically starts off with two strikes against him. |
A proud mom...the HORROR! |
