It’s unusual to have that type of division among the Democrats on the School Board.

Some of those who supported Krezel are very active Democrats. They tended to be older, smarter, or more moderate.

His win now results in a 7-5 split in the School Board, where those more likely to question Michelle Reid or Sandy Anderson will be marginalized and sidelined. It will accelerate the decline of FCPS.

I know all that. I’m asking why PP said it was a win for establishment Democrats when both were Democrats with endorsements.

Not all Dems are establishment.

Dems who actually run the show endorsed Dannen.

Established Dems are well orgnized. Thus blowout.

If Open FCPS had any appeal at all to the voters they would win elections. But fairfax voters don’t want moms for liberty lite nonsense, so they’re relegated to a sad Twitter account.

There was no DCUM consensus pick for Rachna’s seat.

He did win handily. That’s a shame, not so much for Braddock (which doesn’t have any major issues) as for others. Another clone of Sandy Anderson or Karl Frisch is the last thing we need.

Along with Karl Frisch, Rachna was the prime architect of the misguided Policy 8130 revisions that have resulted in such a debacle of a boundary review.

But she's a Democrat, so she's now been rewarded with a seat on the BOS.

Honestly, no one should bother complaining about anything the School Board does, because there is never any accountability. It's like Trump saying he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone and still get elected.
