What do we think will happen on Monday?

Yeah, no. They haven’t cleared any sidewalks on the campuses or plowed any parking lots. I drove by my school several times this week and saw the custodians just sitting around a fire pit out front roasting marshmallows for their s’mores.

What are bus drivers saying? (Sorry, just poking into this thread now so don't know if that's been covered here already.)
Bus drivers in staff forum reporting the vast majority of their usual stops are inaccessible and kids would have no choice but to stand in the road. Super dangerous when you factor in 1) visibility for MS kids who are out there at 6am, 2) the way the banks of snow make it difficult to see around a turn, so kids could be hidden from oncoming traffic without realizing and 3) kids may try to brave clambering over the ice mountains and slip and fall into the road. Maybe sounds dramatic but I watched it happen to someone this morning.

PW closed and staff is reporting. Delay Tuesday.

PWC closed and LCPS on a 2 hour delay

LCPS has a two hour delay.
I predict two hour delay for us.

LCPS is a 2 hour delay

The open-on-time team can give it up. It’s between delay or closure.

This. We went to a swim meet this week and trying to see around the snow/ice banks to get out onto the main road was dangerous ad cars on the main road speeding by making it more difficult. It's hard to trust that people will slow down and take caution when children and busses are trying to make their way tomorrow-sad but true. So before everyone whines about a closure start thinking about behavior on the road these days.

I think most people have said a delay is perfectly reasonable.

I think if they were having a delay for sure they’d say that by now. So someone thinks closure is a possibility.

With PWCS and LCPS delayed I would be shocked if it’s a full close

You want FCPS to take care of snow piles on side streets?

To these dimwits, FCPS is responsible for everything, everywhere. Anything that is remotely challenging or inconvenient must be FCPS's fault. They won't take responsibility for anything, nor will they admit that the schools can't solve all problems.

Well, if you follow Reid’s rationale, FCPS is part of the community and therefore, should pitch in with their heavy equipment as much as me with my metal shovel.

We live near an elementary school that is about 3 houses off a main road. Main road fine. Side street to school is one lane. School was cleared last Monday with skid steers and plows.

It would be great if FCPS widened the road up for the buses and kiss/ride lanes to work. I get it though, VDOT is responsible for this road and not FCPS. Just Reid’s Friday email talked about everyone pitching in, she’s just not willing to have FCPS help pitch in.

FCPS is PART of the community, just as you, your neighbors, VDOT, HOAs, business owners, and everyone else who uses community resources are.

You really sound extremely limited in intelligence when you continue to perseverate on that email.
