I find wheat to be inflammatory and generally have better results when I cut that out. Focus on getting lots of protein (prioritize over fiber/fats). Yogurts and cottage cheese are easiest for me. |
What strength are you on? |
I am down from 150 to 134 and started mid February. I am 5'2 like the above poster and will be so happy when I reach 115 and stop then. The nausea is the tough part for me, it can be like full on morning sickness. I feel like I am losing slowly but surely and thrilled with results so far! |
Similar situation. - 280 - 180 - 43 |
I’m actually really excited to hear this — I have hit the weight where exercise, even basic amounts, has become a slog which is terrifying. Glad to hear you’ve had such dramatic results in less than a year! |
Starting weight: 220
Current Weight: 201 (so close to onederland!) Goal Weight: 150 I've been on it 10 weeks and will move up to 1.7 next week. More importantly, my high blood pressure is gone and my blood levels are all NORMAL. |
What is your maintenance dose? |
age:49, heigh 5'7
Starting: 235 Last year: 175 Then insurance kicked me off ozempic. I tried tirzepatide but didn't work for me and I gained 20 and went up to 195. Now at 190 and back on semaglutide through a compounding pharmacy. Amazing how quick it was to gain the weight and taking forever to get back to the 170s. Ideally would get to 160s. |
195 start
175 3 months in 185 6 months in but I started hrt so it messed up my momentum Goal 145 |
Who did you see for the visit? |
If people using it for weight loss can get it, why can’t you? They don’t have access to something you don’t. Why is it only for people who are more than 20 lbs overweight? Is that your personal standard? |
Why? Someone who is 5’1” tall and 155 may have dangerously high cholesterol and/or blood pressure. They may need to lose weight more than someone taller and heavier. There are BMI guidelines. Get it compounded if you really need it and can’t find it. I’m sure that’s what most are doing especially when insurance won’t cover it. |
I was on the starting dose for 4 weeks and then I gradually increased it because I was nauseous. So weeks 1-4 on 2.5. Then 3.0, 3.5 and now about 4.0. I am not hungry so I’m not going up. It’s hard to eat. Lots of foods like eggs just don’t appeal to me now. Yesterday I had a slice of watermelon at 2 pm and dinner (high protein pasta with turkey meatballs). It was a small/medium portion but I did find myself craving the turkey meatballs. After my early dinner, I had 1/4 cup low fat Greek yogurt so I could get my psyllium husk down. I did a 30 minute incline walk. Scale never budges! I think eating more would help but it’s hard. The fact that I gained a pound eating a normal meal and still can’t get it off is concerning. |
I’m 5’4, started compound semaglutide in February 2024. Just went up to 1.7 this week.
SW: 206 CW: 187 GW: probably around 150/160. I got down to 135 a few years ago and was absolutely skeletal. I get mine from a compounding pharmacy in Leesburg. They have never had a shortage because they compound it themselves. They sent it out to a lab to be tested before they dispense it. |
155 puts me in the obese category. |
