OP asked for a top program at low ranking program. NYU is not lowly ranked; however, there's a mismatch between Tisch and NYU. Tisch is a highly regarded program in a solid school. In NYU, you don't expect an outsized program. Hence the the listing of Tisch in NYU known for high tuition/poor FA. |

Cincinnatian here to post the same. U of Cincy has the older Co-op program in the US for its engineering programs and CCM (College Conservatory of Music) requires tryouts and has produced top actors/actresses + musicians. OP, many state schools have some top programs in various fields. Not everyone was born rich...the non-technical can succeed in their field from a top program from a state school...even a lows ranked one. Am I a proud Comfy Grad (Bearcat)? Not necessarily. It was nothing to write home about (I commuted on 2 buses each way..ugh!) But, I do appreciate it did the trick for me and I went from poor to multi millionaire. The professors were excellent in my program. |

This has been a fun thread to see all these niche programs. |
Ok, NYU is a solid school with 2 outsized programs for its reputation. Out of these two, Tisch might be the only one worth paying their outsized tuition. I might be bias here cuz my kid's BFF HS classmate went there. |
+1 Long time. I went to college in the 80s and 2 friends from high school went to Delaware for this. I am guessing Dupont money/funding. Also Delaware for Museum Management. 2 friends who work at the Rubin went to Delaware. |
Seriously. That PP sounds uneducated. Ceramics is huge now. |
Corning Glass near-ish. Makes sense. My dad used to work there. |
