Thanks for identifying a top ranked program at a top ranked school!

OP asked for a top program at low ranking program. NYU is not lowly ranked; however, there's a mismatch between Tisch and NYU. Tisch is a highly regarded program in a solid school. In NYU, you don't expect an outsized program. Hence the the listing of Tisch in NYU known for high tuition/poor FA.

I forgot about this one - yes, this is another one

I have also heard Cincy has a good aerospace engineering, I think?

Cincinnatian here to post the same. U of Cincy has the older Co-op program in the US for its engineering programs and CCM (College Conservatory of Music) requires tryouts and has produced top actors/actresses + musicians.

OP, many state schools have some top programs in various fields. Not everyone was born rich...the non-technical can succeed in their field from a top program from a state school...even a lows ranked one. Am I a proud Comfy Grad (Bearcat)? Not necessarily. It was nothing to write home about (I commuted on 2 buses each way..ugh!) But, I do appreciate it did the trick for me and I went from poor to multi millionaire. The professors were excellent in my program.

I was only kidding with my comment but your response makes no sense OP asked for "Examples of top programs in low ranked schools". NYU is NOT a low ranked school, period. It's ranked in the top 20 by more than one ranking service and Tisch is not the only highly ranked school within NYU. They have Stern as well.

Ok, NYU is a solid school with 2 outsized programs for its reputation. Out of these two, Tisch might be the only one worth paying their outsized tuition. I might be bias here cuz my kid's BFF HS classmate went there.

Also chemical engineering

+1

Long time. I went to college in the 80s and 2 friends from high school went to Delaware for this.

I am guessing Dupont money/funding.

Also Delaware for Museum Management. 2 friends who work at the Rubin went to Delaware.

Wonder how well they are rated for Underwater Basketweaving?

Alfred University is top-notch in this area--ceramics, glass, material science/engineering. Not a joke at all.

Seriously. That PP sounds uneducated. Ceramics is huge now.
