Examples of top programs in low ranked schools?

Fordham University Gabelli School of Business (undergrad) has made it into the top 20 national rank (Poets & Quants 2023). Business degrees aren’t a niche— many excellent schools. Top 20 is good company to keep.

This has got to be the worst set of responses to a question in years. Tons of schools that are nowhere near low ranked. And tons of majors that are nowhere near top ranked. Useless!

And most of these rankings are for the school's graduate program, not its undergrad.

Too lazy to research... Does Elon have the #1 teaching program or is it #1 in undergraduate teaching?

Undergrad teaching:

I work in the creative field (not advertising) and VCU is well-known in the arts world for its amazing programs.

Again, UMD is T50ish. It's not "low ranked".

I realize that some DCUMers think T20 or bust, but there are hundreds of schools are out there, so T50ish is still pretty "top ranked".

Mixed bag for me. A few of these have been real revelations.

Thanks!

Question: If Elon is #1 in teaching, beating out some impressive schools in the top 10 and is also in the top 10 for undergrad research and internships, why aren't their grads getting paid as much as other schools that are not as highly ranked in those areas? See their reported median salaries, mediocre at best? https://www.gradreports.com/rankings/elon-university

Where's the disconnect?

Great thread! Serves as a reminder that there are some unique and interesting options out there. Not all kids need to follow the same path to success.

You mean thousands of schools (like 4000!)

I believe it still does. West Virginia is the only other school with a BFA in Puppetry.
