Examples of top programs in low ranked schools?

University of Delaware is a Top 100 school (#89 on US News). It is not low ranked!

Too lazy to research... Does Elon have the #1 teaching program or is it #1 in undergraduate teaching?

Undergrad teaching:

https://www.elon.edu/u/news/2022/09/12/u-s-news-world-report-names-elon-1-national-university-for-undergraduate-teaching-for-a-second-straight-year/

Thanks!

Question: If Elon is #1 in teaching, beating out some impressive schools in the top 10 and is also in the top 10 for undergrad research and internships, why aren't their grads getting paid as much as other schools that are not as highly ranked in those areas? See their reported median salaries, mediocre at best? https://www.gradreports.com/rankings/elon-university

Where's the disconnect?

Perhaps where graduates end up teaching?
That website looks sketchy.

I believe it still does. West Virginia is the only other school with a BFA in Puppetry.

? there's a degree in puppetry? Like how to make and move puppets?

Looks like art history, theater, anthropology and... puppets all rolled up.

If there was money in that then I'd be into it!

Top 5 program (with Harvard, Stanford and Princeton) in some sub areas of poly sci and top 15 overall.
I know a very top kid who matriculated there and was like "decent enough school but huh?" but it was a purposeful choice for her interest.

Rochester is a well respected top 50 school.

You are wrong to get a poli sci degree unless it is from a top 5 program. And maybe even then.

Rochester's Department of Political Science was ranked #4 (behind just Harvard, Stanford, and Princeton)

By who?

USNWR has it at #19.

I swear people make up “facts” all over these boards.

Top 5 Political Science departs :

Stanford
Harvard
Princeton
Berkeley
Michigan.

Where is UVA, the supposed peer institution of Berkeley and Michigan?

Sure but it's not ranked alongside Harvard and Stanford in every discipline like is is in Poly Sci.

Link? US News has it at #19 for poli sci. The two sub areas it earned a ranking were international politics (#19) and political methodology (#7).

Change the name of a program, get a better rank.

i have a kid interested in studying Philosophy, and this cite had good advice about how to approach choosing an undergraduate college, advice which is consistent with the advice given by various professors in our family: https://www.philosophicalgourmet.com/report-2022/undergraduate-study/
