Comprehension fail by you. Reading is Fundamental.

The fact that he would even joke about a Fascism Forever Club indicates his douchbaggery.

From the same person happy to call anyone a fascist at the drop of a hat...

My ancestors were tortured and killed by fascists so I don’t think it's a joking matter. Does not speak well to his character.

And, it is ridiculous to throw around the term "fascist" like people on this site do.
He was basically mocking the idiots who use the term inappropriately.

Join the club. Maybe next time roll out that objection when someone starts yelling about "omg fascists."

This discussion of whether Gorsuch is a jerk or not is really not relevant.

Most public figures are likely jerks. You can’t reach a certain point in America without having a huge ego.

The issue here is the lack of shame and basic consideration. Even jerks can show basic respect for others because they fear the social consequences.

Gorsuch is showing us what a fearsome new era we live in- one where there are no limits to selfish, boorish behavior, even for someone who isn’t Trump, even for someone who was educated in the best schools.

Shows his immaturity and lack of good judgment to “mock” that way.

I wish people would have done that in the 1920’s and 30’s.

Yep.

It’s a callous disregard for the common good.

No, it comforts you to think that of one of your party’s terrible judges. You have no proof that that’s why he started such a ridiculous club.

And his most famous decision was one in which he said a truck driver should have just died so as not to create inconvenience for his job. He is a crap human.

+2

Trash justices for a trash party. Ironically one that says it prides itself on honor and conservation of our cherished ideals of being good citizens.

I heard you're an anonymous troll who enjoys making up stories.

There are dozens of people in the DMV who would know first hand Gorsuch from GP, and hundreds who would know his GP reputation. And GP certainly had a suburban spoiled brat reputation back then. [And, yes, I know that. Fortunately it has changed.] Whether above poster is merely a troll is a separate question.

I grew up here. My brother's years at GP overlapped with Gorsuch's. He has never heard anything negative at all about Gorsuch - only how intelligent he was/is. Feel free to believe the negative assessment of someone who clearly is a Gorsuch-hater. I'm sure they're absolutely credible.

DP. PP’s account is more consistent with Gorsuch’s behavior as an adult, so I’m inclined to believe them over you.

Reading these comments, I’m truly scared for the future of this country. You are all a bunch of crazies. This whole “we owe each other a duty to mask up if someone wants us to” bs has got to end. 1) we have vaccines 2) it’s omicron not delta 3) cloth masks don’t work 4) ordinary citizens have never owed others a duty to protect them. It’s not Gorsuch’s job to make adjustments to accommodate Sotomayor when he is perfectly within his rights to not put something over his face. It’s her job to make adjustments. So she can stay home. And so can the rest of you still cowering in fear over this nonsense. It’s been 2 years of barely living life. Time to get back to it.

Sotomayor has multiple risk factors for severe covid complications. Workplaces generally have to make reasonable accommodations. Why are all of the other justices wearing masks? They just really enjoy it?

Maybe she simply chooses to stay in her chambers out of an abundance of caution and no one has ever asked Gorsuch to mask up, I don’t know, but his wearing a mask would be a reasonable accommodation. Your position that a justice shouldn’t show deference to a more senior colleague who has more fragile health (during a worldwide pandemic!) doesn’t seem befitting of a Supreme Court justice.

My feelings exactly. I thought better of him. What a disappointment.

+1. The circumstances of him being a white man who is so defiant willing to put a woman of color (with an underlying health condition that medical science tells us is a serious co-morbidity, no less!) in this vulnerable position just looks so terrible, at least from my perspective. Would he have made the same decision if it were Justice Roberts with diabetes? Of course not. What a raging as*ha#!
