Right. And that's not the same thing as when a colleague's health requirements are such that to be safe doing their job, they need you to mask. |
You think she’s phoning in from home because she likes wearing SpongeBob pajama bottoms or something? |

Funny how Gorsuch wrote an entire book arguing against assisted suicide and euthanasia because of the "inviolability" of human life. Yet he has no problem with endangering the lives of his co-workers.
“All human beings are intrinsically valuable,” he writes in the book, “and the intentional taking of human life by private persons is always wrong.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/02/01/neil-gorsuch-wrote-the-book-on-assisted-suicide-heres-what-he-said/ |
| Is there no longer a mask mandate in place in federal buildings? |
Gorsuch is an asshole. But I’m betting that now that the story is out in the public, Roberts will pressure Gorsuch to cave, and then will issue some bland statement claiming it’s all a big misunderstanding. Regardless of what bullshit statements get issued, the proof will be in whether something changes - maybe Roberts forces Gorsuch to start wearing a mask again, or maybe Gorsuch gets moved to another spot on the bench. Roberts is going to try to paper over this mess. Gorsuch remains an asshole though. Not surprising given that he’s a trump appointment. |
It all comes down to control for Republicans. As in they want to have it over others. Abortion - the state gets to decide. Assisted suicide - you better hope you have good medicine, because the GOP wants to know you’re going suffering. Masks? Vaccines? Oh hell no. People get to choose! Even though in doing so they’re actively removing other people’s agency. |
He is a lying hypocrite … in other words a typical GQP hack. |
Executive, Congress, and Judicial branches make their own requirements. Vast majority of federal buildings fall under the executive branch therefore they apply whatever requirements the President imposes. . Biden's masking requirement does not bind the judicial branch or Congress. Apparently, Roberts "requested" that they wear masks but he did not make it a hard requirement. The other issue is that Gorsuch and Sotomayor sit next to each other. If she was on the other side of the dais, it wouldn't be a big deal. |

This "my body, my choice" argument with masks is such bullshit.
"My body, my choice" so I choose to windmill my fists wildly walking down the street. If my fists connect with someone's face.... that's freedom? Nope, that's ASSAULT. Willfully or negligently exposing someone to the risk of a potentially fatal illness should also be considered assault. |
this has to be a joke right? Are people really this clueless and selfish to think this way? |
| So if everyone else is wearing a mask, why isn't Gorsuch the one sitting at home? |
| I heard he + his brother were bullies when they were at Prep. |
The only new piece to this story is that Roberts asked Gorsuch to mask. The rest we knew last week. |
LOL thank you I needed that |
