Is this rude?

Anonymous
I posted some pictures of me, DH, and our nephew. Our DS wasn't in a picture taking mood. I posted the pictures to Facebook and SIL comments and says "he sure loves his uncle John".

OP...on what planet is that rude?

Why the hell would that be rude? Omg you are super sensitive.
Do you think nephew should love you just as much? Lunatic.

Ummm. No. Don't read into it

I'm confused op. What part is potentially rude?

Let me get this straight.

There was a picture of your DH ("uncle John)" with his nephew.

A relative comments "nephew sure loves his uncle John."

And you think this is rude? Unless I'm missing something, why on earth would this be rude??

You are reading way, way too much into things. You are also a drama queen.

No, it is not rude.

I think OP thinks it's rude because SIL didn't say, "he sure loves his Uncle John AND Aunt Sensitivia."

He's a boy so maybe he does naturally like an uncle more than an aunt. As a girl I always looked up to my aunts more. Don't read too much into it.

Yes. SIL intentionally leaves me out. I'm NEVER included. I just deleted her.

OK then, the problem is not that this one post was rude (it wasn't), the problem is that you and SIL do not get along.

Depending on the past interaction with SIL, I could see how Op could be upset. Is the nephew being held by your husband? I think context matters. Either way, don't let it get you upset. Laugh it off and move on. It's petty at best.

It's a long history of her making it known im not family and that her brother should leave me. I've given her chance after chance. I just can't help but feel her comment was an intentional dig.
