Wow, RT. Tell me you're a troll without saying you're a troll. If a couple of hundred lightly armed russians can cross the border of a country at war and capture towns, that's pretty embarrassing for an army that used to be feared |
There are still reports of the Russian Volunteer Corps operating inside Russian borders, this time in two locations farther east of their initial incursion. Also, a lot of Russian claims of there being a rout and all of the RVC being wiped out being staged, for example Humvees placed by crane, "For Bakhmut" spraypainted ON TOP of scorch marks on a burned truck, and staged footage of "dead soldiers" lined up. Russia continues its cope and lying. Meanwhile the Russian border remains completely porous and undefended. |
+100 And not to mention they returned with captured Russian BTRs, TIGRs, electronic warfare vehicles and other equipment to further aid in future incursions. And it's also stirring up sentiments of revolt in other parts of Russia. |
That’s not civil war. |
Thread title should be: Ukraine raids Russian border town to distract from loss at Bakhmut. |
Of course not, it's a tiny separatist group able to run wild because the russians are too incompetent to stop it |
"Loss at Bakhmut" = Russian cope over taking 11 months to capture two of Ukraine's smallest cities, Soledar and Bakhmut, for a total of 22 square km advance, at the expense of tens of thousands of dead Russian troops and thousands of pieces of armor and artillery. And guess what - the Russians in Bakhmut are now depleted and becoming encircled. |
There was a letter to the editor in WAPO this week that asked why we are not seeing more pics and videos of the fighting. Even during Vietnam there were daily reports. I realize that the US is not supposed to have soldiers there, but we are supporting this. I would be interested in knowing more. |
Apparently you aren't a fan of twitter or social media. There is more footage of this war than any war in history |
You're viewing this through western eyes, where we associate maneuver warfare with victory, but Russia always preferred attrition warfare. Its ugly by our standards, but historically it works. The sad reality is that Wagner was content to trade prisoners for UA soldiers as long as Zelensky was offering up that deal. |
You say this like it was cost free for Ukraine. Their casualty and material losses have never been made public. But that’s no reason to pretend they don’t exist. |
There's tons of info available via twitter, telegram and other sources. |
Which town did they capture? |
They should get CBP there to help. They really know how to defend a porous border /s. |
yea, both sides could just bribe the cbp. |
