Russia is likely to break up as competing oligarchs fight for control.

Ever hear of GazProm? It is a natural gas / petroleum company.

Gazprom has its own army.

PMC = private military corporation. Totally illegal under Russian law; publicly PMCs do not exist.

But everyone knows Wagner PMC does much of the military fighting for Russia in Africa and in Ukraine.

The Russian army really HATES the successor to the KGB: the FSB. Both have armies.

Russia is ripe for civil war.

This the plan

Eastern Europe has dying demographics as a whole — start up some civil wars and get it ripe for Atlanticists to waltz in

Provides resources to compete with China

Russia has a history of this. Would not surprise me if in the near future there are a few different groups fighting for control or to leave.

I just know that if I go clicking through the provided link, despite the thread title, support for the existence of a "Russian Civil War" will be thin or non-existent.

LMAO sure, pretend this is all the machinations of "Atlanticists" and stick your head in the sand and tell yourself that it couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to do with the decades of Putin's dictatorial rule, corruption and stagnation that has left many Russians frustrated, angry and disillusioned.

A pro-Ukraine group has taken control of, liberated (or "liberated") a town just inside the border. Russia is calling it a group of saboteurs. Seems to be home-grown rather than a part of the Ukrainian army - so yes, a "civil war". Not very big, as of this morning.

So more like an opening salvo in a civil war maybe. Good luck to them.
