Eastern Europe has dying demographics as a whole — start up some civil wars and get it ripe for Atlanticists to waltz in

Provides resources to compete with China

LMAO sure, pretend this is all the machinations of "Atlanticists" and stick your head in the sand and tell yourself that it couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to do with the decades of Putin's dictatorial rule, corruption and stagnation that has left many Russians frustrated, angry and disillusioned.

DP
I hate to say it but before 2022 there were very few angry or disillusioned people in Russia. Everyone lived minding their own business. Except meager opposition that is generally out of touch with regular people.
I am not saying Russia is great or right or whatever, just saying that people were generally ok with how things were.

Do you live in Russia?

This is correct. If you had a solid job in the city, you could live a good life. Best fintech in the world, could get anything delivered in 15 minutes, great cultural events, easy travel,.

Just curious if you have lived in Russia for a while, or if you have friends there. If you live in the U.S., through what sources are you formulating your opinions about the daily lives of Russians?

This thing is being way too shilled to be real.

Especially since the army is being weakened by the war in Ukraine.

No, but I used to visit before the war.

I would even think it was staged by the Russians if there wasn’t so much talk in Ukrainian social media about the Begorod republic

EU and NATO should immediately take it under their wings

See you are so naive. The major world powers will get together and guarantee territorial integrity for the newly independent states in return for those states giving up their nuclear weapons. Why would they not take a sweet deal like that?

But where are these nuclear weapons? They might be in the Moscow district for all I know

DP: the reference went over your head. Ukraine agreed to give up its nuclear weapons after independence in exchange for a guarantee of territorial integrity from Russia and the US.

Russian separatists in Ukraine attacking Russia using American hardware lead by literal white nationalists who have white nationalist clothing brands

—————
“Andriy Chernyak, an official from Ukraine’s military intelligence directorate, HUR, acknowledged for the first time some form of co-operation with the Russian Volunteer Corps and Free Russia Legion.

“Of course, we communicate with them. Of course, we share some information,” Chernyak said. “And, one might say, we even co-operate.”
——————

Colborne identified another member of the Russian Volunteer Corps in photographs posted by the group during its Belgorod operation as Russian Aleksandr Skachkov, a rightwing extremist. Skachkov was arrested in Ukraine in 2020 during a raid on people selling translations of the manifesto of the gunman behind the 2019 mass shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand, according to Bellingcat.”

So this Russian civil war seems to be nothing but a short-lived raid by Ukraine forces, using American hardware, supported by a few Russian stooges. There were probably more people posting about it on social media than there were participating in the actual "civil war."
