Was it a football player from a different school targeting UVA football players?

No. Nothing is know about motive just that the alleged shooter was on the football team roster in 2018.

News outlets are reporting one of the names and that it occurred in the Culbreth Garage.

Why would people be booing? It's not like they wanted to do badly. That is what I don't get about the audience of any sports. The players get so much abuse from spectators. UVA fans don't have their identity wrapped up with the football team like other schools, so I doubt there was a massive boo at the game. They don't even boo when their basketball team loses and they are way more interested in that sport.

Regardless, that shouldn't even be part of this conversation. There are dead students and a lot of scared people down there right now.

You know how we’re told “if you see something, say something”? People call in tips if they see someone who looks like the suspect or just seems suspicious. The tips don’t all pan out. Plus there are sometimes miscommunications among authorities.

My DD has several friends on the football team (all safe) but just heartbroken for them. Just hope he’s found soon and they can start the healing process. It’s been a completely terrifying night for these kids.

+1 We do this training annually in my Federal office running for an exit is best. But if your egress is blocked, grab scissors or a paperweight or anything you can use to slow the shooter down before you hide. If you are found, it might give you a better chance.
