My kid is currently sheltering in place as police hunt a former football player who is described as an active shooter and at-large.
The university emergency communications told everyone “RUN HIDE FIGHT” Unconfirmed reports of four dead, all athletes/football players. SWAT team on site at an apartment building close to my child’s sorority house. Guess I won’t be sleeping tonight. |

| You can follow police scanner. Sounds like they’re moving in on a moving vehicle registered to the suspect. Hoping they nab him soon. |

My kids are there too, terrified. My Dd walked right by the crime scene not thirty minutes prior. terrified and alone in her apartment

| My kid is in the Lambeth Field apartments. Closest student housing to the site. You can see on the map how close it is. So grateful he called to tell me he's inside and okay. |

Scanner had him at Warner Hall as of a minute or two ago. But these sightings are often unreliable. Word has it some of the victims are star players on the football team. |

Pointless to listen to scanners. There will be a lot of false sightings. I will say that if I were a black man even remotely resembling the description I would be terrified of being shot by cops tonight. |
