We aren't misreading shit. This is 100% a GOP shutdown and those who voted for the GOP need to know that and learn from their mistakes. |
Trump scuttled the bipartisan bill. He owns the shutdown, but you think he'd grasp that these deals are a negotiation. He fails to grasp this and suffers from the belief that others will bend to his will when they have no reason to do so. His main objective seems to be raising the ceiling to give billionaires more tax breaks which is a hard sell with most of us. |
+1. I think that poster means they voted for the bloated spending. |
President Musk is President Musk again! |
Your using pretty big words for MAGA |
you're I mean |
Honestly doesn’t matter who is blamed. We are two years from any election. |
Get real. Trump is itching to blame Biden and the Democratic Party for suspending the debt ceiling. If Trump wants to suspend the debt ceiling he can push for that after he is inaugurated. |
It's so funny that MAGA wants to pin this on Biden (lol) when Elon is out there beating his chest over it.
The headlines speak for themselves too. And it's all over social media that MAGA stripped funding for childhood cancer to give Elon pork for his China dealings. Love to see it. |
Yes, because it will be smooth sailing for the next two years :D |
You guys are clueless. A continuing resolution just combines all the appropriation bills they were supposed to enact before October 1. It’s not new content. It’s the stuff they were supposed to be doing all year long. Any Member who doesn’t understand what is in a continuing resolution should resign for total incompetence. This bill has been the main item on the House agenda since September. |
What is excellent about this situation? |
I guess there are not MAGAs whose kids have or might get cancer?
Killing this bill cut $190M from pediatric cancer research. |
Johnson can either (1) use the "mandate" to pass the CR with Republican votes or (2) negotiate with Democrats to put together a bill that can pass (which has already been done). Expecting that (3) the Democrats should vote to pass something that they don't have input on makes no sense. Even as such, it's not clear right now what Musk will formally approve. |
What mistake? |
