It's just how things are called, PP.

I'm French. I wouldn't want you calling my country "the France". It's called "France".
It's "Great Britain", not "the Great Britain". However, it's "the United Kingdom".
It's "Germany", not "the Germany".
It's "Estonia", not "the Estonia".

Using language incorrectly marks you as ignorant, and therefore less credible.

It’s more nuanced than that for Ukraine. Please read above.

Rocket/missile attacks on the US Embassy in Baghdad and Consulate in Erbil. Nobody hurt as of yet.

Interesting, I would assume it was done by Russian proxies and not Iranian proxies. Remember we are trying to revive the nuclear deal, which Russia is against. Looks like they're trying to make this WW3. They need an enemy and a distraction.

Also remember that Iraq has supported the idea of pumping more oil and has not been in Russia's corner.

Did Chechnya run out of assholes already?

People are not ignorant, for most of the 20th century, English speakers referred to “the Ukraine". "The" Ukraine is from the Soviet era, after 1991 - Ukraine.

Bribing the Russian military is cheaper than the war itself.

Chechens who are battle-tested are dead or in Ukraine to fight Russia.

The Syrians they are sending are experienced killers.

This won’t end well at all. There are already calls on wahhabi chats to go fight in Ukraine to capture beautiful women. It’s amazing how undersexed this population is.

DROP IT. You are ignorant TODAY. You've been told on multiple media for weeks how to call this country. Heave the remnants of what passes for your brain out of the 20th century and stop making idiotic remarks.

No. They can call all they want, people from the Middle East are NOT going to travel in great numbers to the north and the cold, to fight for a country they have no allegiance to. For the very few that do, they are fighting for money, not country, and that never produces particularly enthusiastic fighters. Also, and not to inject race into this, but if it comes to close combat, they'll be given short thrift indeed, because they will look different.

I am not worried about foreign mercenaries Russia scrounges from somewhere. I am worried about what Russia's incompetent and brutal war tactics does to civilians: indiscriminate bombardment and use of banned weapons will kill everyone on the ground. Mariupol is a death trap. People are dying of dehydration, cold exposure, lack of meds and untreated wounds. All of Ukraine's largest cities have the potential to be the next Mariupol.

And if Ukraine manages to push back the invaders, with unlimited weaponry from the West, then we need to fear that nuclear power plants in the hands of Russians will be sabotaged to leak across Ukraine and the West, as a parting scorched earth gesture from Putin.

In this context, a handful of fighters from the Middle East is negligible.

As discussed above, they had a better army than it appears Russia is.

It can be reffered to however the speaker would like. What the Ukrainians like is not really all that important.
