Way too early to tell. I have only seen 2 games, personally, one was Landon v Mccallie. The Bears walked all over their opponents, who while not from a hotbed, are known to be a solid team. The other win for Landon was over PVI, with some deep talent themselves. So Landon is doing what we all expected. Prep is undefeated, but they have yet to play another IAC team, so will have to wait and see. Bullis has been mauling their opponents, but they too haven't truly been tested. The Test will be v Zaga in a few weeks. SSSA lost by one to Calverton in a hard fought game. I saw that game and was impressed by Calverton. But St. Albans demolished that same Calverton team the other week. So either SSSA is on a downward trajectory, or St. Albans is on an upward one. Again, all too early to tell. Outside of the IAc, I'm liking what I'm hearing about SJC and DJO. But that just might be the honeymoon period for the new coaches. Check back in a month to see whether they have truly turned a corner or not. Would love to hear other opinions or observations. |

O'Connell lost the Potomac School, take their W against DeMatha with a grain of salt.
Gonzaga is down this year, they squeaked out a W against an average team from Texas today and lost to Saint Ignatius from California (California Lacrosse is very good, Texas not so much). Landon is doing what most expected this Spring. They will be tested against against a very good Brunswick squad who traditionally is one of the best teams from the New England league. Bullis squares off against Gonzaga on Friday which should be a very good indicator of how area teams stack up. St. Johns looks to be the most improved team in the WCAC. |
| Landon and Bullis will fight it out for top of the IAC. Episcopal and SSSA will fight from being at the bottom. Prep and ST Albans will fight it out for 3rd. |
Crushed O'Connell. Closing the chapter on one generation of lacrosse coaches, opening up another... All hail the new "it" coach in town - Wes Speaks - go Cadets! |
LOL. |
| The Heights is looking good. Solid win over a talented Potomac team. HC has found his groove. |
| Is the Philly Showcase worth attending? My son invited to that and Jake Reed |
| Bullis beats Gonzaga 7-3 |

Biggest win for the day and for this region was Landon's 11-6 over New England power Brunswick.
Nice win for Bullis over Gonzaga and Georgetown Prep over Gilman. The IAC is going to be tough this year. |
Churchill beats The Heights 7-6. |
Nice. Are there any other MoCo publics playing privates this season? How are they doing? |
