They do charge people for having/providing guns - they usually aren’t white. But it happens ALL of the time. |
You don't think other countries don't have parents like that. Of course they do. It's way past time to wake up to the problem of guns in America. Such exceptionalism. |
And there are thousands of these kids all over the world. They don't have access to guns is the difference. |
There are times when I don’t agree with what is said on DCUM but many of the statements on this thread just make me sad. You are an adult and should be able to differentiate appearance (big ears - seriously?) from mental illness or horrible acts of violence. |
He's not being charged as a CHILD and rightly so. |
Yes, they do. |
Should be tried like an adult and given the electric chair. POS. |
He would have been a dangerous adult felon if he was Black. In fact, he would have been barbequed with police bullets at the school itself, maybe along with his Trumper parents. Instead, we are looking at his unformed face and crazy eyes. Uff - Deplorables are spawning these worms now. |
+1 That PP is a complete a$$hole. Now that that’s out of the way, I hope they charge the parents too. The dad who bought the gun should fry. |
If he was black he would have been called an "innocent baby" and Kamala Harris would have rushed over to tell him how proud she is of him. |
If he was black, he also would have been DEAD. There is no way he would have walked out of that school alive. So I guess this young man is luckier. This is Michigan. He is not getting the electric chair. |

I have had a hard time feeling the effects of this tragedy, even though it is close to home for us. I guess burn out from everything going on in the world in general as well as (unfortunately) getting used to this sort of tragedy happening.
I was thinking back to the last time I really felt gutted about the loss of life and that was the Sandy Hook shooting. Life felt surreal after that. Doing the math, I realized the 6 and 7 year olds of that time, would be 15-16 year olds today. The same age range of the kids who died here.t This generation has had learn that there was a chance they would be shot at school and that they had to prepare for it. (lockdown drills, Run, Hide, Fight training)

Do you not understand how America is completely different from any other nation on gun access? I just can’t fathom how blind people are here. The rest of the world does not live like this. They don’t fear for their kids going to school or the cinema or a club or anywhere like we have to because of the sheer number of these events. This country has lost the plot. |
So the good news is, you have plenty of options for your move to a place that suits you better. |

“Ross Wingert, who was Tate's football and wrestling coach, told the Detroit Free Press that the junior ran towards the gunman to try and disarm him.
"I was told that everybody in that school was running one way, and Tate was running the other way," Wingert told the newspaper.” https://www.cbssports.com/high-school/football/news/oxford-high-school-shooting-tate-myre-football-star-one-of-four-students-killed/?fbclid=IwAR0HunDMGro9xtXmeKC133CHobY1JARKH3klf3m0chtKRovm46ssLtICKvA |
