I think any raped child should be able to get an abortion. So the details of this particular case don’t interest me all that much. Do right wingers think that if they can disprove or minimize the details of this one case, the problem of girls impregnated by rape goes away?
What kind of monster finds this to be a tough moral question. Of course a child shouldn’t be forced to gestate her rapist’s fetus. |
What the f are you talking about? A child was raped. That is not a blue or red issue. Unfortunately it happens far far too often in all types of communities. Yes we should go after the rapist. But we should also do whatever we can to ease the pain of the victim - which includes access to an abortion and not shaming her for accessing an abortion. What that has to do with race, color or whatever is completely deranged. |
Read back a few pages for some links to people who think every product of child rape should be considered a blessing, how they definitely invited the rape (a thought so egregious there aren’t enough vomit emojis). And this is how the whole forced birther movement thinks. Not a one of the cads on this thread who doubted this TRUE story has come back to apologize and say they’re going to think their decisions or beliefs over. Not a one of them has said that obviously a child should be able to get an abortion, because that’s a slippery slope in terms of what a “child” is. They’re too busy pretending to be mad that we’re not showing sufficient anger at the rapist (even though it’s their party that doesn’t take rape seriously) and pretending to be mad about HIPAA (or “HIPPA” or “HIPPO” or whatever the mouth breathers think it’s called). This is the forced birther movement. It doesn’t matter who gets hurt so long as sluts get punished. |

“It doesn’t matter who gets hurt so long as sluts get punished.”
This really encapsulates the whole thing. |
DP. JFC, no, there were verifiable facts, but they were not accessible to you or any random reporter. And this is happening ALL THE TIME anyway. Deal with it yourself -- the little girls already have to, and people like you make it worse. Stop that. |
|
DP It's weird, right? You report to the CPS entity that has jurisdiction, not every surrounding county's CPS (much less in multiple states). |
There is no valid basis for this investigation. It’s a naked attempt to threaten and intimidate medical providers into not speaking up about these cases so republicans can pretend then don’t happen. |
And her doctor is going to be put through the wringer. |
Yep. Sounds like a pretty convincing way to discourage doctors talking about those inconvenient cases that illustrate how sh!tty the forced birther arguments are. If nobody talks about the inconvenient horrible cases, they don't exist. If they do talk about them, then obviously they shouldn't and must be effectively punished. Damn. It's almost like they want to pretend those cases don't actually happen. |
It’s more like they don’t care about the child’s suffering. In their view, a young minor is less likely to be drug addicted and therefore more likely to produce a healthy, adoptable infant. Therefore, they view pregnant children as a net positive for society. |
| Todd Rokita is a sociopath. He absolutely doesn’t care about the girl’s suffering. |
Never forget: "a domestic supply of infants." |
But if you can't confirm because of privacy matters, that is not justification to imply that it isn't true. He could have waited until the allegation was investigated by law enforcement. Do you think they arrested the rapist without confirming that the girl really had been raped and impregnated by someone? Do you think that if no one is arrested, that proves that there was no rape? |
