+1 I love how some parents are happy just to sit back and let others do the heavy lifting. Absolutely, there should be a recall petition for Karl (and the others). The parents who live in those districts need to get on it themselves. |

The point is she was totally on Board with keeping schools closed because school wasn’t safe. But what FCPS was offering everyone wasn’t good enough for her kids! They needed a private teacher. And if she genuinely believes school was unsafe, she should have been doing her part to lower community transmission and get schools open, which would preclude traveling around for kids soccer. |
| It is so unseemly to buy your kids out of the effect of school being closed (private teacher, socializing in a pod, socializing and exercising on a travel soccer team) while denying less well off peoples kids the same opportunities. She’s disgusting. |
| It’s the hypocrisy that will be the undoing of these clowns. You also have Tholen claiming to support equity and then cherry-picking only expensive SFHs to move to Langley and Sizemore-Heizer claiming everyone needed to hunker down last year but then posing pictures of her family’s vacation to Florida. Along with Meren’s pod, Frisch’s dog park, Omeish’s traffic violations and exhortations to jihad, Keys Gamarra’s vanity project to open a new “social justice” academy at Lewis, and Corbett Sanders’ $50M boondoggle at West Potomac, these folks can’t stop embarrassing themselves. |

| There’s now a rumor going around on Twitter that schools are going to start hybrid in the fall - 3 days/2 days for groups in alternating weeks. So get out and sign those petitions and maybe we can avoid this. The pro-openers like MM and KCS are denying it but the rumor is out there. |
Yeah, it”s just a rumor. There is no way they would get away with that. |
| When ARE school board re-elections? If the recalls don’t work, how long will these people serve? |
I'd like to hear from one teacher who would like this arrangement - one. It doesn't increase their planning time, but now they have more work to do for two groups (if the off days are async) or they have to do concurrent (if the off days are synchronous remote). |
2023. |
It does seem like most teachers would like 5 days in person - it’s what they’re used to and is also most effective for the vast majority of kids. It’s the administrators and the unions (oh, I’m sorry, “organizations”) which seem to be pushing for distancing to continue into this coming SY, which would lead to hybrid becoming a necessity. |
You'd have to have more courage than Tholen has ever shown on the SB to be the subject of a recall that got enough signatures to go to court and still run for re-election in two years. |
Stop your paranoia. That is not happening and to spread such nonsense is ridiculous. Teachers have been told we are going back five days a week. |
