Stop. You don't know WTF you're talking about. Yes, but the issue is bigger than masks. It's about control of local decisions. THAT is why the case is relevant, dummy.

Yes you are right, despite your bullying and name calling. This is about the bigger issue - it is time for Brabrand and the Board to move on, recognize they lost the mask issue and should leave medical decisions to others, and get back to teaching our kids the basics. Instead of spending money on frivolous lawsuits, they should devote the money to funding to teacher raises, buying supplies, undertaking renovation, and teaching our kids. This decision should never have been in the hands of Brabrand and the Board - and it has now been taken away from them by a bipartisian passage of a new law.

Stop your name calling and move on with the rest of us.

I've long moved on. I'm not the one whining and complaining on here all the damn time about every little issue. Our family handled COVID just fine, handled masks fine, etc. I"m sorry yours didn't. But in a pandemic, the goals are society ones not ones your individual family wants. Homeschool or go private if you don't like it. PERIOD.

And as noted in another post, litigation budget is generally separate from normal day-to-day operations, salaries, etc. Federal government being the biggest example of that.

Wow. Im guessing you either work for the SB or are a board member, which is why you are so aggressive in your posts?

You are looking at masks as one issue - but for the rest of us "every little issue" is in fact a well established pattern of failure by brabrand and the board stretching back over two years. Others here have listed their many failures but given how aggressive you are, I will not waste my time or yours trying to convince you. Ill just highlight that many of us will not forget this when November 2023 rolls around.

I dont want to trigger you any further so Ill be the adult here - let's just agree to disagree.

DP who doesn't work for the school board but is also exhausted by the non stop whining from people who need to create problems where there are none. And the drama and the self importance: "we won't forget in 2023!"....that your school board wants to keep local control, as it should?

Try this: "German word of the day is Wohlstandsverwahrlosung, a state of decay that results from having it too easy for too long, leading you to selfishly compare your own petty grievances &mediocre accomplishments to the pain &struggle of people who know the meaning of real problems."

The pandemic threw people like you into a dither because you have no resiliency and so no you are screaming at everyone everywhere trying to be loudest voice in the room. AND IT IS EXHAUSTING to hear.

Move on.

DP, but please feel free to take your own advice. And copying crap from the Twitter feeds of local Democratic activists sort of gives your game away.

Those of us who've watched this School Board make a hash of just about everything they've touched have every right to let them know we'll seek their removal next year. They are the ones most in need of "moving on," hopefully to other pursuits that have nothing to do with education.

You absolutely have the right to have your voice heard by the school board. I just wish it were a more rational and reasonable voice, not the one that has been tinged with hysteria a d hyperbole for two years because things were out of your control and you had to face real adversity and doin't know how to handle it.

And you have the right to mischaracterize the fact that people engaged with this School Board in a rational and reasonable manner, only to be ignored by members who listened only to their core supporters and advanced an agenda that was both partisan and idiosyncratic, while paying scant attention to the basic needs and operations of a $3B school system.

But it will only get you so far, because Election Day 2023 is coming.

It must be idyllic to be so delusional as to claim there are “none” when it comes to problems in FCPS. Even Brabrand in his peak used car salesman mode never peddled that lie.

The school board should focus on educating our kids. Period.

My "petty grievances" dont compare to people like you who konw the meaning of real problems?

Im in a "dither because I have no resilency"

This is great. Keep going, please. This is fun.

And we won't forget the failures of the board in 2023. Its too bad that you dont like to hear that. Sorry if it throws you into a rambling rage as we've seen in your preious post(s). I guess you'll just have to deal with it.
