The NRA, Chris Cox and his wife Courtney, are 100% fine with this. They demonstrate this through their desire for no change whatsoever to the status quo. |
Your post sounds like you might actually be drooling. |
Honestly most of these cases were about children dying in gun related accidents. Not your favorite boogeyman, mental illness. Op I agree this thread is depressing but it highlights a depressing reality, that while mass shootings get the lion's share of media attention, children are more likely to be killed or injured by a gun in the home of a negligent gun owner. NRA has lobbied against many laws that would mandate families having to lock up guns if there are children are in the house. |
| The NRA deems the murder of innocent children in these articles, Parkland, Sandy Hook, Columbine and of adults in Las Vegas to be an acceptable level of collateral damage towards their goal of ensuring every person, no matter how mentally unstable, can stockpile as many weapons of all kinds as they like. |
|
Given that gun sales spike after each mass shooting I would guess that the NRA blood suckers would get an little depraved pleasure out of each massacre.

Op. Keep it up. It is depressing as all get out but is the reality of life in these United States. |

What a pathetic country of horrible people we are. |
|
That doesn't even count the wounded and traumatized.
Not to mention all those poor people and workers from the grocery store in NY. |
19 kids, 2 adults dead. Plus 17 more who were injured and are surviving (for now). Sick. Republicans should be ashamed. We are thoroughly disgusted with you. |
I’m the OP. Strange to see this thread come back. I don’t know that I can muster the energy to start posting all the photos of dead babies again. I really wish all the people who block gun safety measures could be the ones to suffer the consequences. |
Keep posting. We have Republicans all over this board (or one prolific loser) sowing discord among Democrats, trying to get us to feel so defeated about the Democrats that we just don’t vote. They know that people are sick of them; they know that only their multi-pronged, decades-long offensive on democracy stands between their party and utter annihilation. So keep naming the devil. If we kick the GOP to the curb really, we can make progress on gun violence, global warming, abortion and bodily autonomy and women’s rights, we can enshrine voting rights into law, we can work on why costs spiral out of control, why the media is held in the hands of the few… But if we feel sadsies and don’t vote, we lose our country to fascism. Forever. |
